"Mrrrrm" Jeff leans into the pets.
Maomao pets Jeff with a smile on her face, showing that she is extremely gentle with animals, as a being of nature.
* max walks over to the land shark and maomao * max: mind if I pet the land shark he seems pretty cool plus there's not many animles that comes in this bar * he said curiesly
Maomao noticed Max and nods. "Yes sure."

Blaze came back out and said, "Who needed a beer?" He was back there finishing his wrap as he saw the colossal Astartes in the tavern. He, too, fell intimidated by the sheer size of the Space Marine. "Well, would you like something, big guy?" he asked the Astartes.
"Right here!" Sue raised her hand. "Beer please! Hey, are you the new staff?"

"I don't really feel like being responsible for any further paralysis or your death anyway." Shirtless Mika is Shirtless, but that's usually how he pilots Barbatos unless he's in space, anyway.
max: thanks * he said to maomao and petted the land shark it felt weird but cool but he would then stop and hear blaze ask for him *
max: no problem give me one sec * he said as he went behind the bar and would grab a cold one and a mug before walking out and to blaze laying the mug down and opening the beer *

I was heavily inspired by french VBRC squads and their fighting philosophy in designing the functional forward elements of Battlegroup Arpat's ground forces. While traditional Astra Militarum has always been a play of ranged attrition, human wave tactics bolstered by combined arms and mechanized force projection I wanted Battlegroup Arpat to be a bit different, taking Aleksandr's Mordian/Terrax based approach to warfare and modifying doctrines accordingly to deliver results.
Arpat Taurox Squadrons
The fundamental philosophy behind Arpat’s Taurox Squadrons is not centered on transport or brute force, but on mobile battlefield shaping through controlled presence, layered firepower, and tactical adaptability. These squadrons are designed to operate in unstable, unpredictable environments where threats are varied and front lines are rarely clean. Rather than functioning as simple infantry carriers, the Taurox elements act as armed maneuver teams, combining mobility, protection, and dismounted capability into a single tactical system. Their role is to move into contested spaces, establish temporary control, apply measured violence, and then shift as the situation evolves. They do not seek decisive breakthroughs through shock; instead, they impose order on chaotic battlefields by being present at the right place, with the right tools, at the right moment. Practicing engagement, observation and disengagement through a professional discretion.
Philosophically, the Taurox Squadrons embody a form of professional, system-driven warfare where coordination matters more than heroics. Each element is expected to operate semi-independently while still contributing to the larger operational picture of the battlegroup. The vehicle provides mobility, suppressive fire, and survivability; the dismounts provide ground control, close security, and local awareness. Together, they create layered problems for the enemy, a force that cannot be ignored, yet is difficult to remove without disproportionate effort decisively. Their purpose is to manage tempo and space: screening advances, reinforcing weak points, securing objectives long enough for heavier assets to matter, and forcing adversaries into inefficient engagements. In essence, Arpat’s Taurox Squadrons represent a doctrine of disciplined flexibility a belief that victory in volatile frontier warfare comes not from static strength, but from coordinated mobility, persistent pressure, and the ability to adapt faster than the enemy can respond.
Arpat Squads are drilled on creating battlefield killzones and layers of suppression which makes it extremely difficult for the enemy to commit, as the Taurox suppresses and neuters mission-critical assets which the enemy depends on to leverage an advance, the infantry close the gap and deliver devastating firepower onto the enemy depending on how the tactical situation evolves they may choose to proceed with making the engagment absolute, proceed to observe the enemy whilst denying area through creating layers of suppression via establishing kill-zones or they may choose to strike and disengage.
Take your Taurox, double up the caliber on an autocannon and strap four missiles onto it, then give the guardsmen stable core plasma guns or agitated prism lasguns, couple that with combi-bolters that combine grenade launchers and HMG's into one and you've got a fighting force with a hell of a punch, did I mention they have the 40k equivalent of FPV drones ?

As the Lord General would say,
" By the Emperor, I love the smell of burning promethium in the morning "
Next chapter might be less of all out warfare and more focused on tactical anti-insurgency plays against Gene-stealer cults on Arpat Secundus.

No problems there, perhaps you're intrigued by tactics, stratagem and war gaming. Never a bad time to get into Warhammer.
Or, you were just surprised by the novelty of someone posting more than 3 lines here, either way, you want to get into 40k I can get you that fix.

He came in and took a seat and stretched his legs out.
He came back to the commotion of the tavern as he scratched his head. "Anything anyone wants before I disappear again?" he asked as he eyed everyone in the room. It was as though some more than others were having fun. And he didn't mind the fun as long as it didn't involve violence. He would let Drael deal with the fun of kicking people out permanently. "One last call!" he said as he eyed everyone in the tavern.
"I have no problem so far." Maomao said, as she was holding Jeff the Land Shark in her hands. She did not even care what over were doing near her.
"No one? You know where I will be found," Blaze said as he disappeared to the back again. He could hear anything when someone wanted a drink. At that point, he will get them what they need without fail.
Anya pushed the door open to the bar, her eyes widened as she took in the new, unfamiliar sight.
"Oh?" She murmured thoughtfully, slowly closing the door behind her. "This is a new place..."
A bar? And what diverse patrons! It was an uncommon sight to see so many Wanderers in the same place at the same time, but... it doesn't feel like she's in the Inbetween now, does it? She would know. She practically had memorized every Branch there was; every exit, every entrance. This place, though, was not in the list. It was either a new Branch, or she's outside. The thought made her lit up with excitement. She considered making her entrance known, but, in the off chance that this place was an uncharted Branch and that by doing so she would potentially alert a certain someone, she decided not to. Juuuuuuuust to be safe.
With her hands clasped behind her back, Anya walked through the bar, her eyes surveyed her surroundings. Eyeing an empty stool at the bar, assuming there was- if there wasn't any, though, she could just conjure up
"Hellooo~! Anyone heeere?" She called out to grab the barkeep's attention, waving her hand out while waving it wildly.

Blaze heard someone walk in and close the door behind them as he peeped out of the back to see who it was. It looked like a girl of a certain age as he walked back to the counter. "I am here. Who are you?" he asked as he grabbed a rag and started to clean the table with precision. "Need anything?" he asked as he was about to walk back to the back, but no one answered.
For him, his main job was to serve drinks to the occupants of the tavern, as he would do most frequently. He stood there with a smile as he casually awaited her response to a drink.
