"Nice to meet you, too!"
Then, she looked around, "What do you d-"

The element of surprise is a strategic asset

He would issue an unassuming whistle, tapping his fingers upon the table. A subtle sweat settled upon the brow as his gaze rapidly shifted between the chainsword and a certain someone. Just... minding his own business, nothing suspicious here.
my midriff is in danger

Her gaze fell upon the general's subtle expression, and she looked fairly confused. "Heh?"

Then, her focus of sight shifted as the general's gaze moved between two objects.
It was only a matter of time before she found the chainsword.

"Um, what? This thing is dangerous you know. If you're concerned about things you should uhh... probably store it in a safe place?" An awkward atmosphere permeated.
((I need to bring Ami back to the tavern. Maybe after she returns from war. Carnage on the battlefield. She watched some of her comrades get mowed down from the enemy.))
"Or just follow the rules in general, but what do I know?"
Ami came into the tavern, her body aching from the battle she was in. She was looking for Lord General Aleksandr at the moment, her purple eyes searching everywhere for him.
“If it’s the general you’re looking for, he seems to be a bit busy um… scaring a child, if I’m reading the situation correctly?” Esme shakes her head. This is all quite baffling and she can only guess at what transpired while she was gone during the week.

Slowly, she approaches Xueqing with the help of her cane and asks, “Is he bothering you?”
"There's generally a solution to that problem, but seeing as how the rest of the civilized world doesn't carry weapons here..."
"No, nuh uh."
The girl in white shook her head. "Just a bit confused why he suddenly acted all like an obvious deceiver and why he has a chainsword around."

She didn't seem scared. Not even remotely.

"Concerns shared."
She was indeed looking for Aleksandr, but couldn't find him anywhere. "Is that so?" she asked as she looked at Esme with concern. "It is unlike him to just leave without a trace," she said as she turned her gaze at McGillis.

"I do. But I don't show it off," she told him as she kept her firearms at her barracks and not here out in public.

"He usually isn't like that," she told Xueqing as she sighed a little bit. She had been worried the least. She had just came back and wanted to see if she couldn't relax with him for a while before she got further orders. She did receive a scar, but it was on her right cheek. The rest she ignored for now as it wasn't important to get involved with their own situations.
" Ba-Hah, Nonsense, I was merely showing this er... young citizen... the workings of a chainsword, never know when her hive may come under siege after all, as it is said, familiarity with the imperial weaponry distinguishes a living conscript from a dead one.

Aleksandr dismissed the concerns as he lit up his lho-pipe, casting wispy smoke into the air before returning to the matter of conversation

" And to even consider the preposterous and heretical notion that , I , Lord General Aleksandr Von Drakenfell have any gains to be made in threatening this quaint yet innocent being what who bumbles about this establishment with no true purpose for their being... it is not like, I , Lord General Aleksandr Von Drakenfell , would seek the cleaving of heads and by virtue of the advance technologies vested to us by the imperium see it transplanted onto a suit of ancient powered armor with meticulous servitor programming involved in order to ensure complete and unquestionable loyalty... for I, Lord General Aleksandr Von Drakenfell would never consider such a thing.

An awkward pause then settled against the tavern horde, giving him strange gazes.

A-hah... I... uh... I mean no harm... I assure you... I do not intend to use the chainsword on anyone in this vicinity.... Anyhow, ahem.

He then turned his gaze to Arpatia

" Private ! Excellent work on the field, your fervor and performance in battle has been relayed to me by Martellan, please, join me, grab yourself a cup of recaf. Naturally, the example of leadership you set forward entitles you to investiture, I am considering promoting you to sergeant, which will put you in command of the men you did battle with, however, this will come with an extended suite of training operating the vox and auspex array, as commander you will be relegated the ability to utilize imperial support elements including valkyrie strafes and artillery strikes in order to better consolidate your position on the battlefield, mind you, as you have proven your utility... I consider it worthwhile to put you in the thick of the action rather than the auxiliary role, even though the artillery regiments had expressed an interest in recruiting you on account of your flawless coordination of a mortar team, however, your role is better served on the battlefield... naturally this comes with a thousand throne bonus and access to the sergeant's mess. "
With the compliment, she saluted the Lord General out of respect. She nodded as she joined him for a cup of recaf. Hearing the promotion, it made her smile with excitement. 'Sergeant,' she thought as she considered the new rank befitting her prowess on the battlefield. Hearing everything he had to say about her new role and the fact she now would be more than just a private, it excited her even more. She finally got the courage to speak as she said, "Sergeant would be my pleasure. I will not let you down. For being recruited, I feel it isn't right. I am right on the battlefield commanding our soldiers and making sure they come out alive," she said as she stared at him as she sat there.

"And being able to have access to the sergeants mess is a honor, Lord General. I will do you no fail. This is war, and I will take it to the degenerates and the orks. I will see to it that they fear me every time I come into battle," she said as she had now a stern look upon her face as she took some time with the recaf. Everything said was being absorbed in her mind as she knew she had to learn quick or die on battle. It was matter of killing or be killed. This was her calling. She was hoping he would promote her, and she would have honor.
"Only a sergeant? I guess I shouldn't talk, I was only a "Lieutenant" for a while anyway."
He stepped out of the dish room obviously tired. He threw his hand towel over his shoulder.
"The holiday rush is always stressful, eh Mathius?" Gustavo said while Brick can be seen in the background scrubbing some pots and pans.

"WHAT !?"
"Very much so. How are ya, Gustavo?"
"Doing well, thanks."

"As am I."
Xueqing deadpanned.

A while later, she sighed. "Some coke around? i know this is technically not good for my teeth but still"
"In the kitchen. Theo brought some Coke Zero, but I'm not sure he wants anyone touching those or Andrew's Diet Pepsi."
