He gave Blaze a tip before he sipped his drink
The witch appeared on a barstool near Blaze. "Hey there handsome~ got any scotch?" She leaned an elbow on the counter with her hand on her chin, peering into him. Her voice sounded rather squeaky~ and a little deviant. "How long ya been working here sweetie?"
He was startled to find her suddenly beside him, as if she had appeared out of nowhere. "Yeah...I have some scotch," he said, taking out a bottle, opening it, and pouring some into a crystal glass. A blush crept onto his cheeks from her comment as he reflected on how long he had been working for Mathius. "Long enough, I suppose," he replied, holding her gaze steadily.
"Blaze......you are the best bartender I've ever had"

"Dawwww isn't that sweet?" Basil's eyes smiled as she took the glass and sipped the contents. "Blaze is such a cool name~ did you pick it yourself?"
"Well, I mean, I don't think people choose their own names. But hey, Blaze is Blaze, and this Blaze could use some whiskey herself!"

"Query: What matters the most is the acquisition of knowledge, correct?"
What matters most is duty to the Emperor, Harkoth. Knowledge itself wields power but its acquisition is fraught with treachery and danger for there are those who would sell their souls cheaply to the ruinous powers for knowledge. Knowledge is Power and Power must be wielded responsibly and with discretion.
The Emperor Protects.

"I guess it's common. Not much I can do about it," he said as he looked at her. "What is your name if you haven't said it yet?" Blaze asked as he stood there grinning at her.
"I'm Basil~ got a girlfriend, cutie?" the witch asked while she swirled her drink. She gazed at him with half-lidded eye sockets, a small blush happening on her cheekbones.
"Observation of courtship rites between these individuals indicates unfavourable outcome."
"So what would you propose?"
"Rites of courtship are but an organic triviality. One that I do not concern myself with."
"Speaking of Basil, I need to order my seasonings"
He went up to the fireplace and laid down.

"Ah yes, The benefits of being single. Isn't that wonderful?"
"Doggo??" Anya gasped, standing up from her seat as she skipped over to the malinois. She crouched down, reaching her hand out to pet him. "Aww, what an adorable little fellow you are!"
The Spider Witch entered the bar, her eyes gazing at the patrons before sitting down.
