"They are a Second Founding Successor Chapter of the Blood Angels. Their name comes from their rather unusual habits of...well, drinking blood. This is most likely due to some sort of mutation with the Omophagea, an extra organ that allows a Space Marine to gain part of an individual person's or creature's memory by eating its flesh. It would seem that this also helps to stave off the genetic curses that afflict the Blood Angels and their descendants. Despite the ominous nature of their name and their disturbing rituals, they are highly decorated and keep good company. They count many notable Space Marine Chapters; such as the Crimson Fists, the Novamarines, and the Howling Griffins amongst their allies."
