Hello there everyone, just dropping in to say hello and good to meet you all.
To introduce myself a bit, I’ve been writing and role playing for a fair while now. Back in the time I was originally inducted (for want of a better way of putting it) into the world of swords and sorcery RP through my brother who introduced me to the wonderful world of Dungeons and Dragons. Back then it was in the crazy times of 2nd Edition where there were an absolute tonne of campaign settings and world sourcebooks. Although I enjoyed playing the game what I loved more was the absolute library of setting information and lore specific books that were packed with pages and pages of fluff and very little in the way of actual mechanics.
I would find myself investing hundreds and hundreds of hours reading all the lore of the various campaign worlds from Dragonlance, the Forgotten Realms to the very beautiful and gothic playground that was the Ravenloft Campaign Setting.
These days although I own the 5th Edition rulebooks I find myself moving away from the restrictiveness of having a know rule x and rule y to indulge in my fantastical whims. I’m a storyteller at heart and I’m in this for the writing and for the brilliant character development and interactions that freeform roleplaying can provide.
And that’s why I’m here
. I have stories to tell and I want to find a place to tell them. I would love intelligent, mature and sophisticated role players to share this with me and help me build a story and a world to tell those stories in — players who have as much love of a well-written, deep and emotional story with rich and interesting characters to tell them with, hopefully I can find that here.
Anyway, that’s enough of me rambling on — I’m looking forward to meeting you all and seeing where this all goes.

I've never been super into DnD, but some of my friends are. I've never been able to quite catch onto the rules. Anyways I enjoy focusing more attention on storytelling, similar to yourself.
