YES! What a thing to have woken up to! 
We just completed goal #2 for the Lemonade Stand Fundraiser - that's $10,000 raised!This was the main goal that I was aiming for as a great balance between realism and helpfulness to the Terra Incognita Maps & Avatars Project - I am so relieved to have hit this goal. Given the way inflation is right now, how topsy turvy everything has been since the start of the pandemic, and how much I know some of you are struggling, I did not dare hope for more when we set out on this journey together. And here we are already, with the fundraiser not even over. Amazing. I take this as clear proof the community is strong, generous, and hyped to get their hands on maps!
Goal 1: $5,000
Getting started: Help me carve out some thinking space to get past blockers. I'll spend the time making crucial choices for project decision points that have been keeping me from continuing.
Goal 2: $10,000
Solid foundation: Gain me about 3 months of focus time on maps & avatars. This will accelerate the project nicely.
Goal 3: $15,000
Pulling ahead: Adding some breathing room to that 3 months to get more done.
New backer rewards added.
For comparison, 2019's Bake Sale special project fundraiser raised a final total of $13,715 over the course of 46 days (August 5 2019 to September 20, 2019). We're about 35 days into our current fundraiser. Will we manage to pull even with the 2019 Bake Sale? Will we pull ahead from there by $1285 and crack goal #3 of $15k? To my absolute flabbergasted astonishment, it actually seems like there is a possibility of that. I take all this as amazing, clear evidence of how much support there is in this community to improve it in big and bold ways. And hey, it looks like I may have to get cracking on creating some new backer rewards to thank you all for your incredible support!
Speaking of thanking you for your incredible support... If we meet or exceed the funds raised by the Bake Sale before the Lemonade Stand closes, I'll immediately design and release another official character style for everyone to enjoy on a theme chosen from this topic.
Thank you so so so much everyone. You are making dreams come true here.The Lemonade stand will be open until September 5th to give everyone a chance to collect the things they want. I can't wait to see how far we go!
