Epic Day 7: The RPR goes real time

This has been a truly Epic week. We've had a flood of new features, templates, a silly song, and best of all, more community participation than ever. Thank you all for being so excellent to one another.

Although I am now a very tired programmer, it has been a pleasure spending this week with all of you. Your support and excitement makes all of this worth it.

Okay, okay. Enough with the blubbering. I know you're just waiting to find out what my whale was.

COLOSSAL NEW FEATURE: The Forum Chat
Tired of reloading constantly to see if your RP partner has written a reply yet? Never bothered to RP here because forum RP is just too slow for you? No longer.

Today, we introduce the forum chat. It takes any forum topic and converts it into a chat room, where messages are sent and received in real time.

Just look for this button at the top and bottom of forum threads

Because of the large number of requests the chat makes on the server, this will most likely become a perk for Epic Members eventually. But for now, I want to let everyone have a chance to try it out. Let's use this feature to keep the momentum from this week going, and raise community participation to new heights. Can't wait to chat with all of you!

FINAL CONTEST: Did You Know?
The home page is a hub of handy tips for getting the most out of your RPR experience, but there's still plenty of things it could help with.

If you were going to add new Did You Know? hints, what would they be?

This is your chance to lend a helping hand to your fellow players, and potentially get free stuff in return. The best suggestions will win prizes in the form of epic memberships, character slots, and bookmarks. Plus, favorite hints will be added to the Did You Know library.

This has been a great week for RPRm so many new things to play with. Excellent work Kim, You should be proud!

@CelestinaGrey - Yes, messages sent in chat also appear on the forums, and forum posts will appear in the chat. One just happens to be a real time version of the other. That's what makes it a ForumChat instead of just a Chat.
