I love RPR, I do. The fact that I have every single cake slice in existence should attest to that, but...lately RPR has been getting kinda bad for my mental health. I have been ghosted like...7...8...9 times in a row now? I don't even know anymore and it's getting incredibly demoralizing. I don't know what I am doing wrong. I have been responding to rp ads with a lot of thought, asking questions and adding to their plot ideas. I got 17 kudos so I'd like to think I make a pretty good partner.

So I figure maybe what I need to do to get out of this funk is to cast a wider net and try my luck elsewhere. Problem is RPR has been my exclusive rping site for years now so I wouldn't even know where would be a good place to look.

For any of my loyal partners, don't worry, I'm not leaving rpr, I'm just trying to see if I can find some better luck elsewhere.

I don't think you're doing anything wrong - ghosting has been, is, and will be a common occurence in this scene, unfortunately. I think the only way to try to change that is to never ghost anyone yourself (general you), but that's an arduous endeavor that'll require a lot of people to participate if it's to become the new norm.

But you could try looking at rpg-directory? It's an advertising board for forum RPs. I prefer sites like this one, with no set genre/theme and where you can do whatever; and what you can find there is mostly boards dedicated to either one original story or a specific fandom. Give it a look-see, maybe you'll find something cool.
