Hello everyone,
I'm giving RP Repository a try in my search to find a few long-term partners because I haven't been able to find any good ones interested in original content lately (without some sort of hidden agenda to pursue adult-only content). I'm seeing a lot of canon character search threads, animes, and threads for superheroes or popular shows that I've never watched. I'm starting to feel behind the times now, even though I'm not that old yet!
To give you a bit of information about myself, I've been writing for about 14 years (aged 32) and consider myself literate with a preference for detailed posts, averaging about 2 pages in Word with normal margins, 1.15 line spacing, and 11-point font. I invest a lot in the stories that I do have, and I am looking to build an immersive story replete with world-building simply because that is where I find the most joy in creative writing. I also enjoy the collaborative writing process, shared story- and world-building, and OOC chit-chat along the way.
Because of what I find that I enjoy, I only prefer to write with writers around 25 or older and am not typically beginner friendly as I am seeking other experienced writers. I did spend a while teaching beginners to write, but I've since moved away from that and only invite those that are able to match the par.
Other than that, I am not ghost friendly, I am LGBTQ+ friendly and aim to reply at least 1 to 2 times a week. When I am on fire, I can push out 1 to 2 d-pagers a day, but when school overwhelms me, I may pause for a week and return. Given that though, I communicate always and request the same. I am patient and will wait months for a reply from the right person.
For genres, I'm a simpleton. I enjoy medieval settings with supernatural, preternatural, and fantasy elements, or science-fiction with a touch of fantasy and magic alongside the tech and space travel.
I also tend to lean into mature content such as violence, substance use, sexual themes, et cetera given that it has a good place in the story. I enjoy grittier themes, challenges, and the like as well and find that darker elements make for a more engaging story that is good for character development. I am also known to make a large supporting cast.
Other than that, I'm not sure what to say and just wanted to introduce myself and let others know what I'm about.
