Hello everyone! I'm a new user seeking group RPs (preferably on discord) and I'm having trouble finding RPs on this site that are tailored to my interests. I am not at all interested in anything fantasy related and it seems almost every RP on here is high fantasy. Do I just need to look harder, or is there a way for me to filter out keywords?
For reference, I would like to do some historical fiction/war RPs, dystopian is fine too. Let me know if you have any advice

Hey, welcome to rpr. In the rp search you can actually enter keywords though I'm not sure if this will only consider words from titles or any words written from an rp ad.
There are also groups but I think they aren't really active as they don't have many members

It's definitely true that fantasy is quite popular, but with luck and patience, you should (hopefully) be able to find some people who are interested in the genres you like. ^.^ Could always try posting your own ad instead of just looking at those made by others.

I'm certain you'll be able to find someone who shares your interest. Like @Mixpixi says, creating your own ad is a good place to start, as it means other users will know you're "open for business", so to speak. I find the Find RP tool immensely useful, what with the ability to quickly outline and filter the magic/technology/combat/romance parameters. I highly recommend you give it a look-see if you haven't already.
Alternatively, you can browse the publicly visible characters right here. Try filtering for the 'historical' category (though I know it's just as insanely broad as 'fantasy'!) to see if something neat doesn't show up.

To see the sliders, you'll need to click on "Advanced Rp Search" towards the top of the page. Alternatively, if you click on "Find RP" on the ribbon across the top of any page and then scroll to the bottom of the "Find RP" page, you can use the sliders there for the same thing.

If you haven't found, you might not have searched... No just joking, don't worry, I bet you have read every single RP ad and proposition on the site. I'm convinced there are quite a few RPs you might like. Yet I think it's even better to ask, ask anyone that shares same interest, or as it has been said before, make your own. Just click around and if you encounter trouble, send an error report to our administrator.
I think, and this might be my opinion, you're a slightly bit impatient, Discord is fast pace, not RPR.
Just enjoy to find the right thing
