Walruses do not stack, otherwise a person could purchase an army and never take any damage.
One Walrus is the same as having 10. They will take turns being your flesh shields, so if you have more than one type, you'll see different ones pop up.

@Sanne - Justine (the epic week artist) and I worked really hard and went through multiple revisions to make last year's boss absolutely unsympathetic in every way. We pulled out every stop to make no one feel bad about killing her

@Tailbone - As super awesome as it would be, I didn't want to create a way to pay to win the game while everyone else who didn't have extra dollars to throw at digital pets had to do things the hard way! Otherwise I would totally let you go into battle completely surrounded by a shoulder-to-shoulder wall of walruses
