Upon seeing Merthyr and Lancelot at the intense fight, Morgana opened the door and waved Taff over quickly to accompany her.

"Come I must see that they don't get hurt" muttered Morgana urging Amber and Taff to come to the training grounds too to watch at a closer distance.

"Good morning lady Morgause" greeted Morgana, walking beside Conrad whom she had encountered on the way to the training grounds too, the pair of warriors stirring up quite an interest

"Good morning, sister, I wanted to thank you for the healing" smiled Conrad polite and grateful
Morgause (played by Raider-jack29)

"What can I say, I protect those of my blood. And those who serve under me. Speaking of which, would anyone like to comment on the attire I've had my maid made up in on this fine morning?"
"A proper damsel indeed, if I may say so myself, mother" smiled and complimented Gawain holding his helmet under the arm as he came to greet his mother.

He too had been watching attentively at Merthyr and Lancelot feeling well out of depth by comparison and counting his blessings none were allowed to compete

King Conrad looked up wide eyed to find Gawain sporting the royal diadem along his forehead, dressed in his armour yet sporting Orkney's coat of arms, ready for the tournament later on. His final hope swiftly turned into his final doom
Morgause (played by Raider-jack29)

"Oh yes, brother sir Gawain will be acting as my champion for the tournament. I hope you have no objections as he is a member of my direct bloodline ."
"As my nephew he has been trained to the high standards expected from Camelot's knights, I have no doubt that he will make you proud" assured Conrad feeling seriously worried.

"No matter which side wins or loses, as my sister, you're most welcomed to stay all the same" assured Conrad finding it difficult to see a clear winner between Merthyr and Lancelot watching the pair like a hawk yet finding no flaws
Morgause (played by Raider-jack29)

"Likewise dear brother." She spoke to him softly before her eyes turn to Merthyr.
"Elaine would be proud." She mutters as she and Guinevere move closer to get a better look.
Merthyr had just about managed to defeat and disarm Lancelot at last, though it had been no easy task, when Morgause approached the pair.

"Good morning queen Morgause" saluted Merthyr and Lancelot in unison kneeling before the woman

"Your highness we are just training, apologies if we have distressed you" explained Lancelot politely

"We're commanded to be watched and guarded at all times so we felt if we came to train here among the knights and squires we would not be disobeying our given command" pointed out Merthyr apologetically
Morgause (played by Raider-jack29)

"Oh boys I was only coming here to watch the lovely match you two were having. It's just that, your footing is slightly off Lancelot. If he wanted to he could've Tripped you up, also Merthyr. Your grip was too loose on your blade, one wrong move and with enough force he could knock the blade from your hands."
"Your highness must excuse us, we were already finishing our friendly morning training. We shall retire right away and allow you to enjoy the fine knight's performances while we tend to our chores" assured Merthyr saluting the queen and hastily retiring from the training grounds, Merthyr going off to muck out the stables, while Lancelot went to tend to Mordred needs
Morgause (played by Raider-jack29)

"Oh men, the moment a woman corrects them. Suddenly their off without a word."
She stated in a huff as she moved to leave.
Lancelot greeted his sister as heart warming as usual for Lancelot was devoted to his family as much as his king

"Sister you're as beautiful as any high born damsel I've seen" complimented Lancelot with an honest smile

"I am sorry my slavery has brought you shame and poverty due to my stubborn recklessness but I will work hard to earn a living for you in my spare time, in the meantime, if you need anything, be sure to let me know, eh? That's what big brothers are for" reassured Lancelot

"I must go now but I will see you in a little while" smiled Lancelot retiring to return to Mordred's side to deliver the breakfast Merthyr had cooked and continue tending to the young knight dutifully

Merthyr smiled at Morgause words and turned briefly

"Your highness, I will gladly cross swords with you when permitted, in the meantime, I shall certainly improve at the next training round, seeing you're overseeing it, I shall take it more serious and will fight the best I can, I assure you that in a proper tournament I don't afford mistakes" accepted Merthyr, smiling broadly as he bowed to the lady raising up to find a sword pointed at his throat, Prodius holding his blade towards the prince.

"Our.. turn to train... get dancing." remarked Prodius tossing a spare sword at Merthyr feet who looked at Lancelot weary. He lowered to take up the sword and presented it back to the knight

"Sir... I cannot comply at present... servants like us are not permitted to yield weapons or fight with squires, never mind knights or lords" explained Merthyr weary stepping back "Besides, the horses need tending to, sir knight, with your leave..." saluted Merthyr bowing to the knight to go to the stables, glancing briefly at the ladies.

Merthyr waited for the knight to nod in acceptance at the explanation.

"Dearest aunt, duty calls, I will try to take time to visit you after" bowed Merthyr his eyes drifting off to Guinevere.

"Fair maiden, I thank you for the healing and care yesterday" acknowledged Merthyr smiling briefly, bowing over Morgause hand to kiss it and Guinevere hand to kiss it after before turning his attention to Morgana

"My fairest princess, I trust the display wasn't too disappointing, I remain dutifully devoted to you and at your service" saluted Merthyr with a broad warm smile, lowering a knee before his betrothed also bowing over her hand to kiss it before walking away to hurry up to his unpleasant stable duties

He spent a good part of the morning shifting the manure, sweeping the stables, laying fresh hay, feeding and grooming the horses and replacing the damaged horseshoes as needed to leave the steed ready for the noon tournament

Morgana watched Merthyr leave her eagerness for the magic spell making her bring Taff and Amber to her rooms to do the enchantment, unwilling to wait any longer despite the risks
Amber (played by Mathgeek124)

((OOC: Sorry!!! I've been super busy!!)

Amber followed Morgana, along side Taff. She smiled and looked around every so often to make sure they were not being followed. "Let's hope this works." She mumbled.
Morgause (played by Raider-jack29)

Despite his heart warming gesture, Guinevere was saddened by her brother. By now rumors had spread of how head gone back on his beliefs because he was spared. Though she spared him a smile, she couldn't help the distaste that crept into her heart as he left. Though quick as she came, she witnessed Merthyr leave, offering her and her lady kisses upon their hands. After he had proceeded to do so with his own betrothed, she felt this odd tightness in her chest.

She did her best to ignore this as her lady now guided her away from the training grounds.

Lady Morgause couldn't help the secretive smile that now layed upon her lips as she guided her distracted maid away from the training grounds. The tournament would behind soon, and she needed to be ready to watch the main event after all.
Mordred (played by Guingamor)

Taff followed Morgana beside Amber. "It will work," he replied quietly, so as not to be overheard. Taff mentally prepared himself to assist Amber in her spell, in whatever ways she needed.

Mordred looked up from where he had been sitting as Lancelot entered the room. He looked a little breathless, as if he'd been doing rigorous work. The smells of the food had reached the room before he had.

"Where were you?" he asked, eyebrow raised. Not waiting for an answer, he said, "never mind the food. We should be seeing to Sir Percival." There was a doubtful, cynical tone in his voice as he spoke.
Amber (played by Mathgeek124)

She smiled at Taff. "Thank you." She kept walking.
"My liege, prince Merthyr and I were warming up at the training grounds, we often do so before crack of dawn." Explained Lancelot placing the food down in front of Mordred ready to eat.

"As for Sir Percival... I am going to place myself at his service right away and tend to the knight's needs, as you command" explained Lancelot letting Mordred eat peacefully as he came to find Merthyr

"I am going to be serving Sir Percival from now on... I must leave Sir Mordred in your care, your highness" noted Lancelot saluting Merthyr to go to his newly appointed master, not at all liking the change but not about to question the order

Merthyr nodded in agreement rushing to bathe quickly at the servants quarters before returning to Mordred's service to continue his duties. He watched over the meal service and cleaned up after, accompanying Mordred to the jousting grounds where the duel would soon take place.

Lancelot came to Percival's presence humbly bowing before the knight

"Sir knight I have been sent to serve you instead from now onwards, thus I'm at your disposal" informed Lancelot formally

"Well, well, well, seems I get to teach you obedience and how to follow orders after all" smirked Percival

"Fetch the armour, I have a jousting to attend this morning" smiled Percival leaving Lancelot to do his chore

"A jousting?" Quizzed Lancelot surprised

"Yes I will be defending Camelot's crown and rights against the kingdom of Orkney" confirmed Percival smiling broadly, watching Lancelot purse his lips unhappy and doubtful about the knight's ability to win, but keeping silent out of respect, following Percival to the training grounds at the sound of trumpets that marked the beginning of the tournament.

"If I win, I will make you execute the witches or join them into their death" assured Percival still bothered about Lancelot refusal the day before
Morgause (played by Raider-jack29)

Morgause and Guinevere waited patiently across the grounds for Gawain to arrive. The day was hot in Camelot as the two women began to organize the wepons for sir Gawain based upon skill, and type of metal.

''Twas an odd thing to witness a queen do such menial labor as organizing armour or dusting shields for her night, yet she found peace in it. Long before she was a queen, or even a lady. She was a simple maid. Events like these brought out memories of cleaning the castle as a girl. She felt content as she sat there aimlessly scrubbing a shield with a wet rag.

So content was she in her position, that she sang a quiet lullaby that she hadn't sang. Not since the night her son...her youngest son, was ripped from her arms.

" Hush child the darkness will rise from the deep and, carry you down into sleep.

Sleep child, the darkness will rise from the deep and carry you down into sleep."

She would go on like this for some time, as she waxed shields and cleaned blades. She did this so much so that the metals in the room could blind any man who looked upon them if reflected in the sunlight. Not a scratch, scuff, or smudge to be found.
Gawain came to the queen surprised to find her finishing such servile work.

"Good morning my liege..." greeted Gawain kneeling at her presence dutifully still sporting the princely diadem along the forehead in a Greek style. "I was coming to prepare my armour yet seems a mother's love has already taken care of her son's pride" smiled Gawain nodding courteous at Guinevere.

"My ladies I must hurry least I forfeit due to untimely lateness" pointed out Gawain with some urgency hearing the drums

Conrad came to get Morgana and Merthyr and Tron Pentre wanting the three youths under his care present, which in turn made Mordred join the royal entourage as well.

"I can't believe you would deprive me of this, I am your best champion, father" complained Merthyr

"Perhaps but you need to improve in obedience and loyalty, be firmer against those magic wielding foes and apply our laws more dutifully" reminded Conrad not about to change his mind or forgive Merthyr earlier

"Of course, sire" sighed Merthyr, Mordred making no comment on the matter

The royal entourage entered the royal stand and patiently awaited for queen Morgause to join
"It seems we will have to wait till later" muttered Morgana waving Taff and Amber to come along.

"As you wish, my lady" agreed Taff joining the two women but not too closely
Morgause (played by Raider-jack29)

"Then it would be best if you got your armour on soon, I hear the drums as well."
Morgause muttered as she begins to hand him what he will need for the event.
