Morgause (played by Raider-jack29)

As he turned, she began to silently clean his abs and stomach. Her hands felt light to the touch. And had a calming sense of warmth.
Amber (played by Mathgeek124)

She took it. "Here can we get the rest?" She placed the hair in the book cover and looked at the other ingredients.
Merthyr looked at her briefly.

"Thanks for your hard work..." muttered Merthyr red faced but thankful all the same, waiting for her to finish off before taking her back to find out if there would be a tournament or not after all and if so, when

"Well your admirer Josh the squire brought roses as for sage I have potted herbs by the window seal" noted Morgana

Guinevere then brought the rag up to his head and began to wipe his forehead, her face was dangerously close to his. Though she wasn't paying attention to it, their lips were inches apart.
Amber (played by Mathgeek124)

She nodded and grabbed one of the roses. "Is it really that obvious?"
"I... guess that will be all then... right?" mumbled Merthyr swallowing hard and as red as a beetroot at the pleasant yet uncomfortable position he found himself in

"See I cannot delay much more, after I escort you I have to return in order to help master prepare for bed in a timely manner" explained Merthyr trying to keep his mind distracted

Morgana nodded in confirmation "Absolutely... Anyone can see how protective he is of you" nodded Morgana

Her eyes flashed down to meet Merthyr's. For a moment the air was still as it seemed they shared an unknown look.
Silence over came them for maybe a minute. Till she suddenly pulled away, hiding her own blush from him as she silently made to exit.
Merthyr accompanied Guinevere all the way to the rooms.

"Could you check if my aunt awake or asleep?" Asked Merthyr not willing to disrupt her rest of she was asleep already, in the worst case he would find out all about the tournament come the morning
Amber (played by Mathgeek124)

She smiled and placed the rose on her bed. "Sage?" She looked to Morgana.
"Sage is the pot by the edge" nodded Morgana bringing a handful of leaves and handing them to her, looking and learning some rudimentary steps in sorcery
Morgause (played by Raider-jack29)

She peered inside, returning her gaze to Merthyr's
"I regret to inform you that the lady is resting."
Amber (played by Mathgeek124)

She took it. "Now all I nee is a small pot of water." She looked to Morgana. "I will be back. Please don't let anyone see these things here." She changed quickly and walked to the kitchen.
I"Ahh no worries I shall return in the morning, fair maiden" assured Merthyr taking Guinevere hand and kissing it with gallantry.

"Your brother is my most trusted friend and bravest valiant knight. It's an honour to make your acquaintance" smiled Merthyr

"Thanks for the attention and help, I bid you good night" waved Merthyr walking back to Mordred to help him in the nightly routine including tucking him in bed and washing up the mess from supper, surprised that the goblet had filled a bit more after all

"No no no worries nobody should enter here at this late hour" muttered Morgana to reassure Amber

(OOC : good night))
Amber (played by Mathgeek124)

She came back a few minutes later with the pot of water. "Here we are." She smiled and placed the pot down on the table beside her bed.

(OOC: night!)
Mordred (played by Guingamor)

Though Merthyr would return to find Mordred gone and his supper only partially eaten, as he had sneakily left the room early on in the conversation between Merthyr and Guinevere. He was now dozing in his old knight's quarters.

"And you still show your impeccable manners and respect by giving me the warmer part of the hearth, even in times like this," Taff complimented him back, just as warmly.

Watching Lancelot polishing the footwear, he decided to help him, tired as he was. Taff took pride in his work as well, content being a normal manservant instead of anything else.

Taff paused, listening to Lancelot's quiet words. "Lancelot, you are one of the most honourable and dedicated knights I've ever known," Taff said softly, though he couldn't help thinking Lancelot deserved a much lighter sentence than servitude.

After having helped Lancelot and listened to him talk, Taff laid on the hearth to sleep as well.
Morgause (played by Raider-jack29)

As the morning rose that morning, Morgause felt strangely compelled to smile. Her mother had always taught her to smile in the darkest days after all. She rose her head from the depths of the fine pillows she rested her head upon to let out a quiet yawn. As she did, maid Guinevere entered her chambers with two bowls of porridge Unlike most traditional servent and master relationships, the ladies often dined together inside the ladies chsmbers. Some times speaking of the days events as they gazed at the rising sun, while the larks chirped outside the windows in the cool, clean, crisp morning air,
Merthyr returned to his rooms to find Mordred missing and pursed his lips in mild defeat at his lateness. He dutifully disposed of the leftover food, did the washing up and cleaned up the table, sweeping the floor and feeding logs to the fireplace, leaving the room in good order, ready for Mordred if he chose to come back

He prepared the attire for Mordred, from among his own royal outfits, polishing the knight's armour and boots and quietly left the clothes in the knight's bedroom ready for the morning. Afterwards, he returned to his own room and walked across to the adjacent servants quarters where he slumped to sleep in Taff's cot, as appointed earlier by Mordred, to doze off to sleep without the least difficulty after such gruelling day.

It wasn't yet crack of dawn when Merthyr came down to the kitchens to have some porridge, surprised to see Lancelot come over a little later at such early hours. He too was intending to have his breakfast while Merthyr had almost finished his.

"Ahh good morning, Lancelot, sorry to startle you, I thought I better to eat before duty calls" explained Merthyr not used to the humble simple breakfast but eating up all the same.

"Good morning your highness, I wasn't expecting many servants up, it's not quite crack of dawn yet " Nodded Lancelot.

"Not highness, Lancelot, just Merthyr will do for now. Go on take a seat" invited Merthyr as he cooked the breakfast for Mordred and set it aside to keep it warm, bringing the leftovers of the fancy meal over for Lancelot, delivering the plate with a small smile of satisfaction.

"My, my, I didn't know you were able to cook, never mind to such good standards." mused Lancelot as he tucked into his food keenly

"Ahh see a prince has to know a lot about everything to be able to judge others standards. Anything you're prepared to judge you must be able to perfect.." pointed out Merthyr calmly.

"Fancy coming for a morning training before master wakes up?" Quizzed Merthyr with a broad smile getting an earnest smile from Lancelot who couldn't possibly pass the chance of an offered duel

"Commoners are not allowed armour or swords..." reminded Lancelot eating up quickly and helping Merthyr finish the washing up before heading out to the training grounds.

Merthyr smiled and nodded in acceptance, taking up two wooden staffs resorting to that and hand to hand combat and techniques, as well as bringing wooden swords.

"Come on then let's keep your skills sharp" prompted Merthyr unaware that by noon the tournament would be taking place thus training with Lancelot on even footing

By the time the sun was raising they were both fully focused on the fight, neither making allowances for the other as they both kept each other in check. The skills each had made them almost even rivals, Merthyr played with the advantage of greater skill and more thorough training though Lancelot's dedication wasn't lacking.

The other knights and squires who had come out for practicing were far more engaged in watching with the odd bet made than training themselves.

King Conrad came to the balcony to watch their swordsmanship, having been enjoying breakfast with lord Tron Pentre

"Good to see some still focused and committed" mused Conrad rarely seeing tournaments of such calibre using such inadequate low quality equipment

He came over to Morgause quarters to thank her for the healing now that he felt better
Mordred (played by Guingamor)

Taff had got up not long after Merthyr and Lancelot had left, coming to the kitchens to ready breakfast for Princess Morgana, and her lady-in-waiting Amber. While leaving that to head, he made himself a meagre breakfast out of the leftovers, as well.

As the morning rose, he decided it was likely time to wake them and bring breakfast up. Finding the door locked, he brought it back down to keep it heated, thinking they must be getting dressed or somesuch.

Waking a little late, Mordred noticed the attire Merthyr had left the night before. Pulling on his clothes himself, he made his way back to Merthyr's quarters.

There was no Lancelot or Merthyr to be seen. Frowning, he looked out the window to see the bright sunlight of the morning. Glancing out, he noticed a lot of the knights seemed to be watching something moreso than training.
Morgana watched with interest, looking at the book and copying Amber's every gesture and word, following her book too somewhat fascinated at her first spell, the door locked so they wouldn't be disturbed.

Sir Prodius of Orkney came to the training grounds, sword to hand to test the two servants personally for it was unusual to see such skills among commoners.

Merthyr and Lancelot took their on going duel to a corner so as to not disturb knights or squires, neither prepared to surrender, if anything upping the technique and speed of the blows and blocks
Morgause (played by Raider-jack29)

How could she possibly miss it, that look Guinevere got as they passed a window and caught sight of the training yard.
The look of hidden desire, and wanting. It appears to her as if her dear maid had taken a fancy to one of the knights in the training yard. Though she didn't express it out right as such people seemed above her station.

Though the peculiar thing was not why she fancied them, but who she fancied. For that longing look was cast upon her dear nephew, and she had seen that look once before. At the time, that look belonged to her brother in their youth, it happened each time he gazed upon a girl who worked in the stables. A girl by the name of Elaine.

Morgause couldn't help but glance at Guinevere every so often as they walked the castle. She ignored that look in favor of social proprietary needs before, she shall not make such a fatal mistake again.

So she quickly moved through the castle, back twords her own chambers. Her maid seemed to be still in silent contemplation as she shoved a brilliant pale yellow gown into her face. Though she raised no questions as Morgause told her to change into it, she remained skeptical.
Not long afterwards Guinevere took a look at herself, she wore a pale yellow gown that stretched down to her feet and dragged slightly behind her. Her dark brown hair was tied into a long braid and hanging over her right shoulder. And in her hair, just above her left ear, was a pale lily that brought out her amber eyes.

After what felt like hours of a strange and oddly timed makeover. They continued their walk around the palace, passing by the training grounds as they walked.
