For us slackers (I mean busybodies stuck at work) perhaps the team(s?) could be given 'dosiers' for recruitment for the cause so that we can come in a bit after the meeting? Like in the game where shep has to go around rounding up a crew. XD

I think thats a pretty cool idea, but, its not just my game. I think everyone else will like the idea though...
I've been thinking about suggesting the same thing, actually. Though I had no idea how people would like it, since that'd mean people would have to wait in order to join in.
I volunteer. Mostly because I probably won't have much about my character done besides her name (Rhelessa) until thursday ish. I feel I must play a bit of mass effect to get back in the mind set... Muwah.

wel, im not all that creative, but if you guys can think of a way, than run with the idea.
Excellent idea about Dosiers, I'm trying to figure out a way to incorporate it. Did people want a sort of opening like what ME1 does; where the captains are selected based off their history and then assigned their partners?

In the meantime, I'm starting work on a ME group. I'll be making at least one council member. I don't know about ME2 & 3 but there were three councilor characters, so if any wants a slot it's open.Just to make it easy, it will likely be an Asari.

I'm going to work on some plot ideas for missions for people's characters, but I just want to confirm that people are fine with the idea of new Promethian technology involving shape shifting? Additionally, whoever feels up to the task, they could join me in brainstorming ideas. (Would be most appreciated <3)

Those are all great ideas. And if you wanna spitball ideas, shoot me a message and we can talk about it. And hell, for people who love Mass Effect, but cant quite make the transfer of there characters to here, seeing some of the characters histories may help them out as well.
I am all good with the brainstorming. Shoot me pms as well. Depending on the avail at work, I can reply fairly often~
Same here, I've got some ideas I'd love to share.
Just out of curiousity, ryn, what is your character? Owo

This fella here. Enver Kosla, a Salarian infiltrator, part of the Special Tasks Group. He's been chosen due to the fact he's got biotic powers, which is very uncommon along Salarians. He can do the basic biotic attacks such as Pull, Throw, Stasis, Slam, Warp and lifting people up into the air. Once he takes his red sand extracts, though, he's capable of using Shockwave, creating a barrier around a big area and using an AoE skill that caused everyone around him to float into the air for a short while, though sadly the use of this drug got him addicted, which has got nasty side effects.

I'm giving this information now since he's an Epic Member character, and for now I cannot add this information in his profile.
Oh cool there's a lot of ideas floating around so if you guys could, can you pm me your ideas?

I made a Mass Effect Group, but it's still under construction, I've been pulled into work everyday this past week so I'm a little behind on working on the group. But today I get out early so I'll be able to work on it then.

We seem to have a lot of bionics, so I'll make a tech specialist Turian to balance it out.
Please. Tech and bio are all well and good, but at the end of the day it's the soldier's weapon versatility that comes out on top.

Oh, they decided to bull rush my sniper den? Doesn't matter, have shotgun.

Edit: And given a good backstory that doesn't just feel like a pity-trip, the gruff, shell-shocked veteran seems like good RP meterial.

But only a good soldier knows that he need a diverse team to compliment his own abilities.

Which is why I'm perfectly happy having a tech or bio around. But the spearhead of any operation needs to be able to adapt to the environment and to the vulnerabilities of the enemy.

well the same should be said for the biotics and techs. They cant be all that good unless they can adapt. Each squad member is going to be in a leading role at some point. It just depends on the situation. But yeah, i wil agree that soldiers do tend to be more flexable. But ill follow that up with it depends on who is playing said character
None of the other classes are nearly as versatile as the soldier is. They all have highly specialized roles, and more importantly, specialized ranges, either close (Vanguard), mid (Adept) or long (Infiltrator) and are at a solid disadvantage at any other range increment. Granted, the vanguard has a lot of mobility, but any soldier with a shotgun who sees it coming can just roll aside, pop a few rounds and blow them to hell.
That is true. The soldier is very versatile during combat, and if you pick the right combination of weapons, you're pretty much unstoppable.

But I find that in the end, all things considered, nothing is as satisfying as throwing your enemies off of ledges using things like 'shockwave' or 'throw'.

I agree whole Heartedly with Rynh. And that idea tends to carry over into many games. For instance, Skyrim; Sure, you can bash his head in, but why not walk up to an unsus- FUS RO DAH! Totaly beats standerd combat...
Sorry for the long wait guys, I was hit with the plague(the dangers of teaching tiny bacteria infested children) and Im just going to ask one more time who are going to be captains. I've got a plot all lined up, and so now is the time for those who want to take charge to do so. :)

Those that are captains will be requested to appear at the citadel, and those who are not I will be mentioning as options for the captains, and so please finish your characters' bios appropriately so I can give them out as dossiers to the captains.

Thanks!
