Rae grabbed him and helped pull him along. Her emerald eyes scanning the area. She growled at the sounds of bullets everywhere. She felt a sharp pain in her leg, but kept going. She didn't say a word, Hunter and Isobel needed to be in shelter.
Isobel's wings shifted behind her, urging to do something. She couldn't sit still for long. She was safe in the basement, but Rae and Hunter were still out there. She gripped the knife tightly and wished they would just get back already.
As they ran from the garage to the basement bullets tore through the bunker like building wherever a whole could be found, and the enemy had made many. An explosion went off next to Mark and Greg, throwing them aside. Hunter opened the door and rushed Rae down the steps first. There were too many assailants for her to get up close.
Once downstairs Hunter pushed over the jutebox he had so proudly had restored. This revealed a metal lined crawlspace leading away from the building. "Get in. Follow it all the way out, it will lead you into the forest outside of my house." As he spoke his coms blasted three words. They have breached! Two men ran down the steps and Hunter sprayed them with bullents until they rolled to a stop at the base of the steps. He reloaded. "Go now!"

Rae didn't want to leave him, her emerald eyes looked at him. " Stay safe. " She softly kissed his shoulder, then grabbed Isobel. " Come on we don't have much time. " She said running down the stairs. " You still have the knife, right? "
Isobel nodded at Rae, showing her the knife in her hand. She followed her down the steps and towards the crawlspace. She turned back to Hunter before entering. "Don't get yourself killed..please." She felt like she was going to cry but fought back the tears and crawled inside.
Hunter ushered the other girl into the space and put the jutebox back infront of it, hiding its presence. The little metal tunnel would lead them into the forest bordering the house, this would allow them to run away from the overwhelming forces Hunter himself had little chance against. He ran up the stairs, killing two more men through a window when he got to the top. Hunter's HUD showed Mark's heartbeat flatline.
He swore and grouped up with the other two Custodians in the garage. They were outnumbered, out flanked, and out of space. They all knew they would die here. They all were willing to do it for the others to live. The firing stopped for a second as Arty's voice rang out to them. "Just turn them in and you live! Has enough blood not been spilt? Think of your friend Mark!"
This small group was thinking about him when they answered with, "Go die in a pit!" followed by their own roar of fire. The enemy closed in around them and close quarters combat commenced. Hunter brought up his rifle and smashed the visor of an attacker, kicked him back, and shot him in the chest twice before bringing the aim of the bullets up into more people. At this point the garage door was completely taken off as the trio faced attackers from the garage opening and the door to the house.
Alyssa deflected the blow of a sword and elbowed them in the neck. Greg shot him as he fell back and Hunter kicked a grenade back into the house, turning the door frame into a hole. Alyssa pulled the trigger and it clicked, she was out of ammo. Greg threw her his last clip but a bullet shredded it in air. After his last five bullets Greg was out. The combat kept going as Hunter ran out and switch to his pistol. He fired into the charging enemy as Alyssa and Greg drew their tactical knives, cutting down the weakly armored enemy.
A bullet took out Gregs knee and Alyssa was overwhelmed by attackers as she was taken to the ground. Hunter held off the agressors for another few minutes with his pistol until it ran out of ammo. A rifle shot that broke through his armor sentbhim to the ground.
By the end of this the two girls in the passage should have made it to the woods by Hunter's calculations.

Rae took off towards the forest, pushing Isobel to safety. " Stay safe... Don't die.. " She turned into a wolf, darting off. Her emerald eyes watching the forest, a rush of the forest bolting through her. Her paws felt that sweet warmth of the dirt. She quickened her past, not wanting Isobel to follow her. Her heart raced fast, this was for the best... Right?
Rae darted towards the house, where the group was. Did Hunter really think she wouldn't fight for him.. She meant the group... She stopped once she was near the house, her emerald eyes looking at the blood on the ground. " Stop! There is no need for blood to be spilled! I'm..... I'm the one you want...." Her gentle, but loud voice was easily able to be heard over the fighting. She kept her ground, looking at the group who had sentenced her to the basement with Isobel. She was angry at them still, but she was focusing on the real problem.

Isobel didn't want to think about what was happening in the garage, but it was all that would fill her mind. The scent of the woods drifted inside the metal crawlspace and she knew they were nearing the end. She couldn't feel relaxed as she usually did in the forest though. All she could think about was how they'd left behind Hunter and the rest of the small group to fight off the multitude of enemies by themselves. Rae was off as soon as they got out. "Stay safe... Don't die." Isobel was farthest from any fighting. She wasn't sure if Rae just ran or went back. Isobel figured she'd go back, but thought that she'd at least take her with her. They could take the group from behind and take several down before they went themselves.
She had an automatic way of knowing which direction was which and easily figured out which direction the house was. She didn't know this area at all though and stumbled a lot as she tried to walk through. She couldn't fly, or they would see her in the sky and shoot her down. Isobel felt some of her energy returning to her. She hoped she'd be able to get there before the fighting ended, but even if she didn't she might be able to heal them...

By the time Rae had arrived, Hunter and his friends were lined up on their knees already, they were in front of a firing squad. Hunter saw the girl and his heart sunk. Arty turned around, shielded by his men. He smiled a wicked smile as his men aimed at her.
"Run!" Hunter yelled at her. "You stupid MUT, get out of here! I'll kill you myself you worthless target! They're going to kill everyone!" Hunter was trying to break her heart, trying to make her hate him even more. He wanted her to leave them. If she staid then she would die as well as the three as them. If she left she at least would live. He saw no way around it. There were at least twenty five to thirty men here. "You damn half breed dog, go away!" What could never be known to anyone is how much this hurt Hunter, but he had to do it. She needed to run away.

Rae stared at Hunter, her face turning pale. Her emerald eyes looked as if she had zoned off. Once she got back into her mind set she looked at Arty, how could she believe that Hunter was a friend. She stepped back at the words, ' You stupid mutt. ' She looked at the three, tears forming in her eyes. ' I'll kill you myself you worthless target. ' A single tear fell from her emerald eyes. She looked at Arty again, gripping at the dagger that was with her. She pulled it out, this would be exciting. Her mind was crossed between throwing the dagger at him, or stabbing it into her chest.
Rae decided, to give it a whirl. She sized up Arty, using the aura from her body to figure out where his death spot was. She threw the dagger, aiming it at his neck. She still couldn't believe Hunter.. She turned into a wolf, two people on her mind Hunter and Isobel. She quickly shifted into a wolf and snuck into the shadows of the building. She was going to die to help the three, even if that meant getting blown up. She let a snarl out, taking off through the shadows. She was simply playing a game of tricks. She still had tears coming from her eyes.

Arty deflected the knife with the armored back of his glove. He looked at the firing line. "Any last words?"
Hunter nodded. "Rae, run." When he said it his voice had more of a plead than anything else. It was the last thing he said too. He saw a flash of color. The shots rang out through the forest as the three of them fell backwards.
"Kill that mut. Get the humvees." The vehicles were started up and gunners popped out of the top. The rest of the mass of men loaded or reloaded their weapons. One humvee and ten men detached from the main group to go after the wolf girl.

Rae felt an amount of tears coming from her eyes. Was she really this weak to him? Her emerald eyes scanned the three, she wanted to run towards them. She shifted towards a human, running to Hunter. She knew or thought she would probably die. If only she wasn't so soft. She grabbed his arm, trying to drag him. She tried to block all sound, she knew he would say something. Her small hand reached towards a gun, she shot at a couple of men. A growl came from her chest as she kept trying to drag him into the darkness.
Rae kept trying, he was heavy but she wouldn't give up. She kept the gun up, her emerald eyes looking at Hunter. She could feel another sharp pain in her leg, ignoring it. She could feel their aura, trying to twist it all up. It was probably useless, but she was so close to the darkness.

Isobel felt her heart drop when she heard the gunshots and then silence. There was only one thing that could mean and it wasn't very likely it was good. She stumbled through the woods faster tripping and scratching up her legs. Tears flowed down her face and thorns left deep red lines in her hands and face. Then she reached the house at last. Rae was growling and then the sound of a body being dragged and gunshots from her. Isobel blasted several with her light energy, pouring as much as she could into it.
((I'm going camping but I'll be back on Wednesday.))
((I'm going camping but I'll be back on Wednesday.))
The humvee did a U turn as the gunner turned to face Rae. He took aim, waiting for the right shot. When Isobel came up, she took down a few men, either stunning or killing them. Three men immediately turned and opened fire on the blind girl. A hail of bullets was sent her way. Several more turned to face her. Three more bullets slammed into Hunter's armor.
((I am kinda jelous of you right now... then again I leave for a week of camping on sunday... yeah I'm still jelous.))
((I am kinda jelous of you right now... then again I leave for a week of camping on sunday... yeah I'm still jelous.))
Rae growled loudly, taking him into the shadows. She tried to hide him, " Hunter, stay safe. " She looked at Isobel and the guy. She turned into a wolf, taking off. She jumped up onto the humvee, grabbing the gun. She tried to smash it, clawing the car to open it. Her claws smashing in, it was easy to tell she was pissed.
The man yelled as Rae came at the car, he ducked back inside it. It was armored and somewhat bullet proof, she would have a hard time getting through that way. On the outside Arty pulled his pistol and shot at Rae, the men around him pulled their rifles and aimed. One of them getting a few shots off at the werewolf before the others.
Rae felt a burning pain in her legs, tears coming to them again. She went onto the side of the car and underneath. She bite the gas tank, a bullet hitting the ground near her. She got a small amount of fire and put it near the gas tank. She ran and jumped out of the way, the car getting ready to explode. " Hunter! Take cover! " She yelled, before falling to the ground, not near him.
The noise of the explosion was enough to wake up Hunter. He shot upright, the bullet holes still in his armor. Hunter took a second to take in what was going on around him before he dove for a dead man's gun. He grabbed it and sprayed the area as he ran towards Rae. Two more bullets hit him. One went through the armor and through his side. The scent of fresh blood was in the air from two points on his body now. "C'mon! Get to cover!" He grabbed the girl's collar and ran her back to a corner of the house out of the way of the bullets. Another bullet grazed Hunter's helmet.
Rae pulled him along, " Hunter! I'm not leaving you! " She said, taking off making sure she would take any bullets. She grabbed the gun she had, shooting a couple men. She looked off, " Hunter! Your motorcycle, do you still have it? " She said, looking at him. " I'm not leaving you. " She whispered, her hand still pulling him along. Her clothes were torn and stained with blood.
Isobel wasn't fast enough to dodge the bullets and she didn't have her twin swords to deflect them like she usually would. One hit her in the right shoulder and another few hit her wings. They were painful but she didn't think they hit any bones or anything vital. She'd still be able to fly. She continued shooting bursts of energy from her hand, keeping the men from getting too close to her. She suddenly found herself close to Rae and Hunter, hearing the last bit of their conversation.
"Did anyone else make it?" It might have been naive to hope such a thing, but Hunter had made it. Maybe one of the others had too. She was prepared to leave if they went on his motorcycle. A bullet hit her in the arm then and another just missed her head.
((I'm back! Hehe it was fun but really hot. I'll be leaving for a week of college next week. I'm not sure if I can, but I'll try to take my laptop too.))
