Rae looked at him, then at her hands. Did a human just really hug me? Her emerald eyes looking at the room. There was no sign of any windows, her head was pounding. " I just don't... My head. " She was getting dizzy, but tried to keep calm. She looked down, breathing lightly. She put her hands on the hospital bed, trying to keep herself from falling back.
A little thing of medicine was on the other side of the room. Hunter got up and fetched it, bringing the two pills in the white little cup back to her with some water. "Here try this, we all are going to have headaches, but this will help a lot."
Rae grabbed the pills and stared at them. She's never taken them before. She put them in her mouth and drank some water. The pills went down easily and she set the water down. " Hunter... " She said softly. " Where is the forest? " She tried standing up, the pain coming back in her back. She gritted her teeth, stumbling towards the wall so could lean on it.
Hunter stood up to assist her. "It's outside." He smiled, the hospital was remotely placed in a forest so troubles caused would go unknown by locals. "Are you alright?"
Rae felt the pain burn like fire burning her skin off. " Hunter... During the fight, a bullet hit me in the back.. " She said, ignoring the pain that made tears go into her eyes. " I can barely walk, it hurts me to much to stand. " Rae slowly tried to sit down, " Hunter I need to go into the forest. " A tear came from her eye. " I need to. "
Isobel was getting antsy just sitting in the same room for so long. She set the food tray aside and searched for the door. She finally found it and got out. She could feel the nurses' eyes on her, but she wasn't sure that made her feel any better. She passed by several other patients' rooms. Most were empty but a couple had people in them. A few sounded like they were in real bad pain. Before she even knew what she was doing, she was inside one of the rooms. The nurses in the room tried to take her back out, but she ignored them. She walked to where the sound of pain was coming from. As soon as she touched the man laying down there, she could sense his injury. Most of his ribs were broken and shattered directly into his internal organs. The doctors had removed the biggest pieces, but there were miniscule ones that they'd missed and damage left behind. Isobel gently eased his pain and fixed what she could. The man's breathing came easier and he was no longer in danger.
The next several rooms went like this, healing those she could, easing the pain of those she couldn't. Then she came to a very quiet room. She almost walked back out, but a voice called out. "Who's there?" She walked deeper into the room. "My name is Isobel. I can heal you if you like."
"None of the doctors can heal me. What makes you think you can?" The voice was deeper, a man's. He sounded a little older, just past his prime perhaps. He sighed. "Well, you're welcome to sit down and have a try."
She did so and reached for his hand. She was shocked at what his injury was. It seemed like his face had been shredded, both eyes torn and useless. "Shrapnel bomb. Caught me right in the face when I wasn't looking. I bet I'm not very nice to look at, but at least I don't have to see it myself." He made a try at a joke. He thought she could see him.
"Maybe I can't heal my eyes, but I can heal yours." Isobel concentrated and focused the energy. First repairing the man's eyes and the carefully healing the rest of his face and neck. She listened to his gasp of surprise and let his hand go as he brought it up to his face. She gave him a teary smile then got up and left. There were no more groans of pain now as she walked down the hall. A nurse had given her a cane to walk with after one of her healing spells. She caught the smell of the forest through an open window and suddenly felt the overwhelming need to be outside. It took her a while, but she finally found a door leading outside. She walked just inside the treeline. She was still in sight of the hospital though.

Hunter tilted his head at Rae. "Why?" He didn't understand, but the perimiter walls of the hospital contained a good amount of forest. Then he saw tear and wipped it away. "They can fix your back."
Rae sat down, sighing. A burning pain was in her back. She looked at Hunter, " When you found me, I was in the forest. To get away from any pain or abuse I went to the forest. Hunter, I can't stand.. " She tried to push herself up, but she winced in pain.
Hunter shook his head and laid her down into her bed. "Just wait, they'll fix your back without a problem." He smiled at her, he knew everything would be okay, but it had to be scary to be in her position.
Rae looked around the room, she placed her hand on shoulder. " Thank you so much. I never knew you, out of everybody would end up saving me. Isobel must be happy too, I'm just happy she's alive. I tried to keep her alive when you first went after us. " She winced at the pain again. " But she went after you and fought, she's strong. She'll have no time finding a purpose for her life. " She closed her eyes, then opened them. " I'm sorry, if I hadn't have gone with you or hurt those people. Then your friend wouldn't be dead, Isobel wouldn't be here, you wouldn't be hurt, and no blood would have been shed. It's all my fault for this whole thing, nobody needed to get hurt. "
Rae tried to forget the past, but it haunted her. Her emerald eyes looked at him, " It's seems everything I do ends up to lead up to another disaster. " She looked away, sighing. Was it true everything she did was bad?

Hunter laughed. "Because of you we took down two organizations in a couple of days!" He smiled. "After some investigaton we found out that that place you broke out of had alot of corruption, it has been shut down. Then we were able to take down a large thorn in our side, that 'Extermination force'." Then he grew a little bit quieter. "Mark called the force, things came back around and he died. It was not your fault." He gave another smile, "you'll be okay."
Rae didn't believe everything would be okay. She was taught that no one could predict the future. " How do you know everything will be okay? " She pulled the bed sheet over herself, starting to shiver. She couldn't tell if she was warm or cold. She brought her knees to her chest, her eyes closing. She liked the sound of Hunters voice. It was somewhat soothing, because the fact he was alive.
"I heard someone say once that 'everything will be fine in the end, if it is not fine, then it is not the end.'" He smiled, sitting next to her. "Don't ask where I heard that." He gave half of a laugh and placed a comforting hand on her shoulder. "And I know that a fine young lass like you will go far in this world, you don't have to be a psychic to know that." Then Hunter leaned over Rae and kissed her on the head. He didn't make eye contact before he got up. "I can send for the nurse now to help you, they can stop most of the pain. I saw Isobel leave so I think she is okay."
Isobel liked it outside. The woods here were peaceful. Rae would like it out here. She understood the need to be outside and surrounded by trees. She walked a little ways, listening to the birdsong and whistling it back. Or at least trying to. When she felt it had been long enough, she went back inside. She still had to visit Rae. If Hunter was still there, then he'd just have to deal with her being there. Isobel wasn't looking forward to being back inside the hospital again, but at least Hunter had been able to convince them she didn't need all their attention and needles. She got lost the first time, but backtracked in her mind to her room. She hoped Rae's room was close and picked the room next to hers and knocked. "Hello?"
Hunter saw Isobel coming in and waved to her. "Good to see flyer girl up and about!" He smiled, then realized she couldn't see his wave and felt slightly stupid for waving. Hunter moved out of the way so the girl could come in. "I was just talking about you, not in a bad way mind you!" He smiled again, the chipperness was back in his voice.
Isobel smiled, his enthusiastic mood immediately bringing her up. "Better not be. Rae would tell me if you did." She covered a yawn with the back of her hand. All that healing earlier when she was already drained had left her tired. "Thought I'd just check up on you guys. How you doin Rae?"
Rae listened to him, she couldn't see him sense her eyes were closed. A weird feeling tingled down her spine as he kissed her. She nodded her head, whispering. " Bye Hunter... " Rae laid there, listening to all the sounds. The smell of the forest driffting in the air. She heard the door open, she couldn't push herself up, so she stayed there shivering. She pulled the covers on top of her again. " Isobel? " She relaxed when she heard her. " Isobel, I need to talk to you. " She didn't heard anything about how she was doing.
Hunter left to find a nurse to help Rae, he didn't like seeing her in pain. He walked down the hallway to the main desk and talked to them about it. It wad do-able but it would take a little bit to prep. Thankfully they had already started the preparations. Hunter went to return to the room when he was pulled aside by one of his superiors that wasn't expected.
The two of them talked a good amount before Hunter headed back. He just recieved some really good news. He would hear more from them while he was in this hospital, he would also be here until the two girls were better.

Rae actually missed Hunter. No! I can't.... The devil will take me before I like a human. He hunted me, almost killed me! She thought, sighing. But he saved me... She put her head in a pillow, pain still going down her spine. Rae sent a message to him in her mind, Hunter take me to the forest. I don't need the stupid nurses. She winced at the pain in her back again, trying to look for the forest.
Isobel sat down in one of the chairs. "What do you want to talk about?" She figured it would be about Hunter. Even a blind person could see something was between them. If they acted on it, she'd be pretty happy for them. She saw Hunter as more of the cool older brother type figure, and Rae just seemed to give a slight sense of loneliness. "You feeling alright? I could heal you if you think you need it."
