The gun was slowly placed back on the night stand but Hunter's eyes ever left Rae. "Why would you want to see me?" He snapped at the werewolf across the room. He was having a nice, quiet time. Was.
Rae looks down, still nervous. She feels herself slowly get relaxed once he placed the gun down. " Um.. " She looks around and then calms herself down. " Well... " She walks closer to him, but keeps her distance. " What's gonna happen to me? " She said, trying to make herself feel more normal. " God, I've ruined my life. " She sits down in a chair, hiding her head in her hands. " I should have never left that hospital. " She says, tears coming in her eyes. She hides her face even more, not wanting him to see.
Hunter raised a brow. "I don't know what's going to happen to you, and yes, you did mess up pretty badly. Is that all you came in here for?" His annoyance was obvious. He was still rightfully upset about her attempt at killing him.
Rae lifted her head up, rubbing her eyes. She leaned back in the chair and thought for a second. She shook her head. She stood up, walking along side of Hunter's bed. She was nervous, but tried to hide it. " May I sit down? " She said, looking at an empty spot on the bed. She looked at him, she wanted to tell him more stuff. If it was before everything happened, she would have just sat down.
Hunter brought one knee up and hung the other off the bed, still facing straight across the room. "If you so choose," he said slowly.
Rae sighed and sat down. Her emerald eyes looked forward at the wall, then to him. " I guess I'm never gonna be able to forget what happened. " She sighed. " If I could kill that little scientist man who injected me with that stuff to make me try and kill you guys. " She looked back at her hands. " Born a killer, die a killer. " She mumbled under her breathe, then she looked at him straight in the eyes. " You know I'm sorry Hunter, I really am. I only remember a little bit of what happened. I'm sorry... " She whispered the last part, then stood up. She made her way towards the door and stopped.
Hunter kept his eyes diverted at the wall. Only when Rae went to leave did he look at her. "Wait," he said and got up after her. He stood in front of her and looked at her. "Apology accepted," he said, and added a small smile.
Rae turned around and looked at him. She sighed in relief, a smile appearing on her face. She hugged him, wrapping her arms around his neck. " Thank you Hunter... I couldn't imagine losing y- I mean a friend like you. " She pulled back and looked up at him, nervously. Her emerald eyes were bright and full of happiness. There was only a few inches separating the two, to the fact they were almost breathing the same air. She was smaller than Hunter by a few inches. She stood up on her tippy toes and softly kissed him on the lips. She closed her eyes, not wanting to think about what was happening. Rae hadn't kissed anybody in years. She pulled back and smiled, her hands still wrapped around his neck. She took a deep breathe, processing what she just did. Her eyes fluttered open and she looked at him, smiling.
Hunter embraced Rae in turn and released her. He didn't think too much of the hug, well until she kissed him that is. Hunter was surprised and caught of guard. It took him a second to register what had happened. He wasn't one to have many relationships. He had a very secretive job and couldn't date coworkers, that made things hard. Then, those questionable feelings he had solidified. He embraced her once more, closed his eyes, and kissed her back before letting her go again.
Rae was shocked by the fact that Hunter kissed her. She was calm and quite. She closed her eyes, enjoying every second. Rae hugged him and buried her head into his chest. She forgot about everything that had happened. She smiled and pulled back some. " How can I say this... I've kinda.. You know... Liked you this whole time. " She said, smiling. She felt like her old self, the real Rae who didn't care about stuff. She smiled and kept hugging him, but finally let go. " Hm... Didn't expect you take that all that well. " A grin appeared on her face. " But I'm happy you did. " She was more relaxed around him.
Until Rae let go Hunter hugged her back. "I take a lot of things very well," he said after she spoke. "I didn't know how I felt until just now." He smiled at her and stepped back a little. "Here's a question for you though. With our situation, what now?"
Rae sighed and ran a hand through her hair. She looked at him and tilted her head. " Well, I hope you see I'm the old Rae now. " She said and then kept talking. " Maybe we just.. You know... Still act like nothing happened around other people. " She said, then added a grin. " But I think I'd actually miss your kissing. " She said and smiled. " Maybe when it's just you and me, we act like something did happen. I can always tell Isobel, I think it would be better if she heard it from me. " She said and placed a hand on his shoulder. " I won't try and do anything stupid, just for you. " She said and kept smiling. At the moment she was just happy.
Isobel wandered past Hunter's room, pausing when she heard voices. The words were muffled through the door, but she recognized who the other voice belonged to. Things sounded pretty calm, so she decided it was safe to go in. She opened the door and poked her head in. "I'm not intruding on anything am I?"
Rae removed her hand from his shoulder when she heard the door slightly open. She turned and stared at the person who was coming in. Isobel.. She relaxed and smiled at her, slightly moving away from Hunter. She smiled and walked towards her. " Your not intruding anything. I was just telling Hunter the thingys the people injected in me removed any of Sarges injections. So I'm the old Rae, not the one who tries to kill her friends. " She said, looking at Hunter and then to Isobel. " Isobel, I would love it if we could talk somewhere in private. "
Hunter broke away from Rae's side as someone entered, making a little noise. He didn't speak until Rae finished. "Nope, not interrupting anything. I'll be grabbing a coffee."
"That's great Rae. I knew the old you was still in there." Isobel laughed and stepped inside when he mentioned coffee, holding two mugs. "I already got you one. I stopped and grabbed some coffee when I was wandering around. I'd have one for you too Rae, but I didn't know you'd be here." She held out the mug towards Hunter. "I didn't know how you liked it, so I left yours black." She had no idea what had happened between the two just moments before.
Rae bit the inside of her lip, her eyes looked at Isobel. She couldn't keep a secret from her, but she didn't know how to say it. She ran a hand through her strawberry blonde hair and sighed. " I kissed Hunter. " She blurted out and bit her lip, it probably wasn't the best approach. " I have to tell you that, I won't and I can't keep that away from you. "
Isobel froze, surprised at the sudden confession. Then she wrinkled her nose. "Gross. Guess I won't be sharing my coffee with you." She wasn't really bothered by the kiss, as she saw Hunter more of an older brother type figure than anything else. A thought seemed to occur to her. "Dear god, please tell me you're both fully clothed. I mean, I can't tell at all! If that is the kind of private time you wanted then just let me leave first." She tended to talk too much and too fast when she was embarrassed. Isobel could feel her face burning and was already starting for the door.
"I'm indifferent." He shrugged and took the coffee, sipping slowly at the hot liquid. He leaves against the wall next to the door and confined to sip gingerly at the drink. When Rae blurted her secret out he coughed and almost spilt some coffee. Then, hearing Isobel's response, did a full on spit take towards his cup. He started coughing at the bit he inhaled, which had thankfully cooled down in his mouth.
"I'll go make this Irish," he said quickly and passed by Isobel and through the door. He turned and looked back at her, "I'm leaving immediately because I have, and kept everything, on." He walked away, wiping the coffee cup clean of the mist he had sprayed it with. "We're in a hospital lil girl," he muttered as he walk away.

Rae's face puckered up, as is she was eating something sour, when she asked if they were undressed. Rae never wanted to even think about doing that. She growled under her breathe and changed her facial expression back to what she usually looked like. She watched Hunter's reaction, curious of why he acted such way. Since Rae wasn't the whole lovey kind of person, she didn't have a clue on how to act or what to say. Once Hunter leaved she walked up to Isobel, leaning over her shoulder so she could whisper something. " I would never have sex or anything like that with a human. " She whispered so she could hear. Rae pulled her head back and turned, pacing back and forth.
