"Oh, I love walking in the forest! Usually only day hikes though as I haven't crossed that bridge to actually camp overnight in the forest."

What is your opinion on swimming in ice cold mountain lakes?
It's part of my morning routine, I swear by it, the cold mineral rich waters of Cornaeth are rejuvenating in and of themselves and I consider myself fortunate to have such a luxury, the tradition begins by heating river stones held in an iron frame before transferring them into a structure known as a Vaporea where they are splashed with water to generate hot steam. The Vaporea can be as simple as a hide tent, a wooden shack or a more elaborate marble or stone structure, but are almost always located along a water source such as a stream, a bath or in our case our mountain rivers. We alternate sessions in the Vaporea and diving into the mountain lake.

What is your opinion on the Roman Empire ?
Yuki (played by CrypticStardust)

<I don't know much about it; I have little to no interest in history. Sorry.>
<What is your opinion on the inevitable carcinisation of all living things?>
Michael Swan (played anonymously)

"Well since it's inevitable. There's nothing I can do about it. So why worry about something you can't control? I wanna make the most of my time here. Rise to the top and die there. I think the fact that life is fleeting is what makes it beautiful and exciting."

"What's your opinion on Winter?"
Tulip (played by Aya)

“As in the season of winter? As a Flower Faerie, I find spring to be more agreeable with me. However; there comes a time when the soil must take a long nap. I tend to move my potted plants indoors, and then I’d curl up by the fireplace and read a good book.”

“What is your opinion on gardening?”
The Hitchhiker (played anonymously)

"I love gardens, be they flower, herbal, mushroom, or growing lovely vegetables."

What is your opinion on smoking marijuana?
Dr. Todd Swordson (played anonymously)

"Well, as a medical professional, I cannot insist people smoking it, but there has been quite a bit of research regarding therapeutic and clinical usage with marijuana. I cannot force someone to stop, but quitting smoking is always a plus"

What would be the genre of music you wouldselect if you were allowed to listen to only one genre for the rest of your life?
Alora Pershick (played by POPPET)

Alora pressed a finger to her chin and hummed. She had thought about this question a hundred times when she was on steak outs, bored out of her mind when waiting for her hunt to make a move. “Well baby, I would listen to jazz music. It can either be funky or soft, happy or sad, and there’s jazz out there for every occasion. Instrumental jazz is my favorite but a soft mellowed voice accompanied by it? Why I find it irresistible to listen to.”

Now she supposed she had to ask a question to the next person. Racking her brain for a second, she then asked, “If you could hunt any monster for the rest of your life, what would it be?”
Virik (played by SillySpider)

"I already do ... though, I guess their dinosaurs. Not monsters, but to mortal man, that's probably no different.
I'd hunt ... anything worth the meat, I guess, Dragon. Since they have plenty to harvest from. At least that is my opinion."

Rivik thinks, "What is your opinion on Sugary Sweets?"
"They're delectable, but it's important that I keep them in moderation. Sweets grow on me all to quickly."

What's your opinion on the supernatural? Real or not real?
Lia Raynes (played anonymously)

"Oh, I think there are some things that are hard to explain that can be called 'supernatural'. Take astral projection for instance. I didn't believe it until it happened to me. I was sleeping and there are those who say I was only dreaming, but, I witnessed a conversation and remembered it after waking, and when I asked the people who had the conversation about it, they were surprised I knew what they had talked about. So yeah, I believe some supernatural things are real, but I think it's the exception rather than the rule."

What's your opinion on car racing?
Kiyo Narukami (played by Revereen)

"Bruh, that's still a thing?" Kiyo said in surprise "Eh, I only got into cars and stuff because of watching Top Gear. Good ol' days when I was allowed to. Nowadays, the machines I like are pretty much Mechs. Gundams are iconic and Armored Cores are the epitome of cool!"

Then she realized she went off topic.

"O-okay... what was that phrase Ren always uses? Oh, right! 'I digress as my interests have guided me towards another seemingly related topic'! Man, I dunno how the guy can keep up with essay speaking"

What is your opinion on Yokai like Kiyo?
Yaazecsus (played by Leighoflight)

What is your opinion on Yokai like Kiyo?

"I've met quite a number of Yokai over the years, I've become friends with some of them and others tend to be more naturally aggressive. Those ones are best avoided. I'd say if they are civil, then I will reciprocate."

What's your opinion on hybrid creatures?
Sinclair and Sienna (played anonymously)

"Very cool!" the tiny girl exclaimed at the top of her lungs, tail wagging excitedly. Her father merely chuckled and patted her head before thinking for a while, eventually giving a more... Nuanced answer.

"Hybrids are an interesting subject, in terms of their general existence I don't have much of an opinion of them. What I think of them varies depending on their origins and behaviours" The knight explains, taking a moment to collect his thoughts once more before he continues.

"If a hybrid is created out of unethical means and experimention with magic I will find it repulsive obviously, but that wouldn't be a fault of the hybrid but rather of its wretched creators, as a creature I would respect it just as I would anything else. I have no such opinions on natural hybrids because at that point its just a creature like any other to me" He says, and then quickly clears his throat "Apologies it seems I've taken alot of your time speaking..."

what are your opinions on fatherhood?
Jeremy Woodall (played anonymously)

"I heard a rumor that I may have fathered a child from a tryst I had with a woman at a library. Haven't heard from her about it though. Guess my opinion on fatherhood is it would be life-changing, for it would a big responsibility to handle for the rest of your life. "

What is your opinion on cheeseburgers?
Dr. Todd Swordson (played anonymously)

"As a lower-enlisted in the air force, I lived on a diet of Sprite, Lay's and cheeseburgers. I loathed cheeseburgers for a long time and didn't eat them again until my son was four, and now cheeseburgers have cycled back to being one of my favorite foods"

what is your opinion on "reality" gameshows?
Yi Yang (played by Aya)

Yi Yang scrunched up his nose in disgust. “Reality game shows are made by soulless, money grabbing rich people with too much time on their hands and wish to drain mindless viewers of their time and money. You’d never catch me watching any of them. Meow.”

“What is your opinion on people thinking black cats are bad luck.”
Asa Mitaka (played by Mellow)

"That’s just dumb. Black cats aren’t bad luck—they’re just cats, Honestly, I think they’re kind of cute."

what is your opinion on Aliens?
Dameon Amato (played by Espresso86)

I hope they do not exist
What is your opinion on banning certain books?
By no means an easy decision, which encompasses a deep debate on ethics, autonomy, liberties and certainly philosophy. If you will bear with me, I will present what is arguably a very reductive, microcosm of a narrative to illustrate a point.

If one were to posit something such as a gun, you may say many things about a gun, it is by its own virtue an object, it is a means of destruction and causing harm, it is a means of perhaps ensuring safety against those who may very well do harm, but outside of its use it possesses no quality, no existential function and it is what it is by virtue of its uses otherwise, what difference would it have from something mundane in the environment like rocks or dirt. Humans however attach symbolic meaning to objects by virtue of how our cognitive frameworks interpret the world and how we perceive things, from an evolutionary perspective that makes sense, it is probably self-preserving in some sense to assume the big looming shadow in the dark intends harm or that the small colorful frog should be avoided at all costs, because at some inherent instinctive level instinct and experience have dictated that these things are associated with mutilation or harm. You could call a gun evil but what does that mean to the gun to be attached to something which is infact an extension of the human, of the conscience, by some virtue we've territorialized the gun into our ideological frameworks, symbol of revolution, image of violence and so on. The gun is or does or represents what that which uses the gun intends or does or represents.

Now let us consider a sort of pseudo-counter-argument, how likely is one to trust a child who does not know how to swim around a swimming pool? we consider multiple domains of harm here, a lack of acknowledging risk, a lack of the appropriate judgement to ascertain safety to oneself and others, and an inability to perceive these things outside a very egocentric domain, how does a child who does not know how to swim possibly perceive what drowning is or what that feels like and what consequences arise from this, its constructed knowledge is limited to its own experience and judgements, it has not proven that it holds the capacity to self-examine, reason or critically analyse beyond such domains as what it accommodates in the juvenile structure of belief, to the child everything it knows is absolute and every action thus is justified.

What can be said of certain books? perhaps a book in itself is a territorialization, an extension of the human, because by virtue of an extension of our senses we have this capacity to project our cognitive and ideological ruminations into real space, that which we call the phenomenon of language and language indeed has some capacity to do harm, this is something of a simplistic though relatable statement, everything from curse-words to propaganda revolve around this maxim, thus to say language has a capacity to influence or propagate would not be an unfounded statement, religion, political ideology, education, and many more facets of the human experience seem to center around this constructivism of language, what is echoed in Wittgenstein's Theory of Meaning.

But from an ethical lens, is the judgement or ascertainment that something has the capacity to do harm grounds to take action against it, and if so, who makes that judgement, the law, the public or someone versed in the art of passing fair judgement. It is by its nature an ethical dilemma somewhere between beneficence and maleficence where the utilitarian option isn't quite evident. An empiricist would argue that judgements should be apportioned in accordance with the obvious evidence, but then that would subject us to pedantic moralities and historically these have seemed to cause more harm than good. A realist would argue that interpretation of that which lies beyond the obvious and evident in conjunction with what is should provide one the means to make a sound judgement.

To conclude, in my opinion, it is prudent to stock the library with those books whom one can trust the readers with, those which instill and inspire controversy or contain controversial material should not be actively advertised or promoted in the interest of the public peace, but excesses of control are not favorable, oftentimes that leads to the opposite effect of what was intended even if it was good natured to begin with. There's nothing human beings hate more than being told what not to do.

This was a lively and thought provoking prompt, thank you.
