Mine Laru enters the bar with a black and white dog man in tow. Laru was dressed in his average outfit: a water blue jacket, a green tie, a white button shirt and a pair of blue pants with gill-like marks on the side. Meanwhile, the dog man has piercing red eyes, a white and black jacket with elaborate designs and dog collars along the sleeves, a red button-up shirt with his collar popped and his chest slightly showing, and some black dress pants.
"So, this is the place you used to visit?" The dog asked, a hand placed on his chin.
Laru nodded. "Yes, but it's been a while since I've come here."
The dog sighed a bit. "Well, this place better be good, since you moved our date from that downtown brasserie to here."
Laru rolled his eyes. "Oh hush, Sarasa, can't you just appreciate something that doesn't cost a thousand dollars for once?"
Sarasa tilted his chin up straightening his jacket. "Am I not worth that price?"
Mine Laru placed his hand on Sarasa's shoulder and smirked. "You're worth every penny, you handsome man."
The two let out a small laugh as they approached the counter.
"Table for two, please." Sarasa said.

A sharply dressed humanoid woman with two fins protruding from her head in place of human ears watched the two lovebirds from a distance whilst typing something on her laptop. She seemed rather shady, yet interesting at the same time.

“Thank you.” Shoko nodded her head and poured the warm sake into her head. She then took a swift drink of it and sighed in relief. The warmth of the sake coursed through her body. She tilted her head in confusion. A mascot? Since when did bars have a mascot?, Shoko thought.
She then turned to look at the young man that sat beside her. “A kitsune you say?” It was a rare occurrence that she got to see other yokai outside of work. Of course Shoko had to see if this was a Zenko or Nogitsune. Though she doubt the kitsune was the latter due to her reputation as a mascot.
Shoko did turn her attention to the sharply dressed Kataw looking back at them. He sure does have a lot of connections with the supernatural, she thought before jumping in her seat at the sudden appearance of the kitsune.

"Tell me about it..." Ren sighed and watched his adoptive mother race around the bar like a hyperactive puppy.
Noticing her hand on her chest, Ren assumed something was bothering the woman. Thanks to his mother, he should be able to sense that Shoko had some form of magical abilities, though he could not figure out what exactly she was capable of considering he never bothered to master his own latent sorcery.
"Something botherin' you?" Ren smiled, though he avoided eye contact "The Kitsune's the nicest fluffiest person you can meet, don't worry. The kataw you just saw on the other hand..."
Kanda immediately stormed over to the two, carrying her bulky laptop.
"Can you not?" The Kataw crossed her arms
"Alright, alright".
Kanda smiled gently at Shoko before introducing herself and Ren
"I am Kanda Dioso, a kataw working at a cybersecurity firm. You may not have heard of our kind as we are mostly located within the Philippine Islands"
She then glared at Ren
"This... to put it lightly... jerk is actually my friend, a musician named Ren Hemmberg. He is a Japanese-Filipino human whom seems to be wittier than he normally is. Say Ren, did something happen? You and I are usually the serious fellows in our friend group"
"Been awhile since we last met, alright?" Ren smiled "People change. Sometimes, anyway, heh"
“Thank you, nothing is bothering me.” Shoko said. “I simply wasn't paying attention, and your mom's sudden appearance just startled me.” Her attention turned back to Kanda. “Of course, I heard of the Kataw. They're –” I'm not about tell strangers about my actual job, she thought before speaking again. “Yes, I wrote a paper on them for a mythology class I took back in freshman year.”
“Cool, I'm Japanese-Desi. And of course, I'm third year forensics undergrad, and did I mention that I'm a sorority president?”
