He came out with plates of curly fries for everyone. He seemed to be more generous as of late. The Christmas decorations were beginning to be put up, and he allowed Fumizuki to decorate the trees and bake all of the cookies and sweet breads. He brought everyone each a mug of egg nog.
"Lord General, would you like some rum in your egg nog?"

He made an Old Fashioned, except he used the raw sugar he ordered on his last order.

Such a gaze was met with an equally unsightly expression of utter scorn, in fact Aleksandr clenched his teeth and waved his fist at him.

Xueqing awkwardly watched when she received a mug of egg nog on her desk.
"Stick to what you do best, instead of trying to figure out what makes things tick."#
" Fear you ? "
Aleksandr scoffed, leaning over the table menacingly,
" FEAR YOU !? "
He gritted his teeth, face turning red and clenching his fists.
" SUCH DAMNABLE AUDACITY TO PRESENT YOURSELF AS SO ! "
Aleksandr leaned back, restraining himself

Aleksandr's guards moved in to grasp him gently by the shoulders, inviting him to return to his seat, as his gesture became more thoughtful and concerned.

" Hearken unto me thus, I will make my investigations into your claims as I see fit and should the matter prove to have contradiction as to your claims then know that I will visit every desecration upon you until you are thoroughly annihilated. Aleksandr turned to Mathius offering rum in the egg nog

"Mathius. I insist you call me Mathius" he said with his usual charming diction.
Esme had been a little indisposed, bent over in her seat to swap out a chem pack on her leg, when Mathius set the egg nog in front of her. She hadn’t noticed its presence right away, and once she did she regarded it with utmost curiosity.
“What is this strange beverage…” Esme murmured, staring into the mug of eggnog. She sniffed it and then stirred it with her finger to test the liquid’s viscosity. “Is this alcoholic?” She licked it off her grease-stained finger, which tinged the flavor accordingly. She didn’t seem to notice.
“Hm.” Apparently pleased, she continued to sip from the mug as she looked around and observed the happenings in the bar. This place was growing rather hectic. Not that it bothered her.

The girl just stared. At the beverage.
What is this?
With curiosity, she grabbed the mug, and took a sniff. ?
Then, she took a sip. Just right then she realized that it was alcoholic, and with this she set it aside.
If Esme is able to sense mechanics, she might know that Xueqing went through a cardiac operation and now has an artificial heart.

Esme, unable to sense that sort of thing, merely looked over at Xueqing and remarked, “I’ll drink that if you don’t want it.”
“You were gone for a bit, weren’t you?” she added. While she had been fiddling with the electronics in her leg earlier, she had noticed, come to think of it, that she hadn’t heard anything from Xueqing for a period of time there.

"I guess every military higher-up is loud and obnoxious." Obviously it was meant to be a jab, but hey, what would you do against a kid who pilots a 19 meter tall Gundam? "What can you do, I guess?"

You would offer it the same Imperial courtesy as the Tau are afforded.

Esme does not take so kindly to this comment, though she’s quite certain it wasn’t directed at her. She’d had a number of higher-ups back in her day who she respected greatly. “Not all. Only some of them.”
Lin Xueqing wrote:
"Yeah. Was scared off by some demon for a bit, and had to get a heart replacement. Thanks to Harkoth." Xueqing nodded. "And sure!" She passed the egg nog to Esme.
Esme perks up, and it’s hard to tell whether it’s because of the eggnog or the talk of artificial hearts. “Really, now? That’s great. I’m glad you found someone a little more skilled to do it for you.” She took a long drink of the first mug of egg nog. “I’ll have to ask him about the design later. My artificial heart prototype used pistons like in a ground car engine. John said it was absurd.”
“Anyway! Tell me, how does it feel? Better?”
"Actually, it is a good idea." Xueqing tilted her head while taking out a phone, "Pistol is a good start. Try to ensure it won't leak, and that the blood won't be let flow backwards."
"And yeah, significantly better." She looked aside. "No need to worry about my life when I'm stressed now."

Sue popped up in her bar stool, her head jerking awake as something disturbed her. Suddenly the first thing she noticed - at the same time being the thing that woke her up from her peaceful nap - was the rabid voice of some dude yelling about somebody getting touched by the flame of chaos or something. What in the great googly went on without her? Apparently the same cast of people were still there too.
"What the hell? Did i doze off? What is this guy on about now?" she asked, unaware that she was still invisible.

John looks up from his book, eyes scanning the room for the source of Sue’s voice. He saw nothing. With a sigh, he muttered, “Am I hearing voices now? By the divines. Father’s magic torments me to no end.”
"Meow?"
Xueqing seemed bewildered by the sudden voice, but she recognized it. It was Sue, still somehow invisible. The girl then tilted her head, and playfully went "I can't seeeeee you-".
