hey so uhhhhhhhhhhh yea im new to the site

I love rping, but I find it really hard to find sites where I can comfortably do so. I prefer playing canon characters, and I really enjoy panfandom RPs! I love love love murdergames, or just survival type deals, tho I also enjoy really long well planned plots. I'm obv not opposed to playing OCs, but I'd honestly rather play my favorite characters... who are unfortunately extremely obscure (like, neopets and disney ducks-level obscure)

BUT YEA i hope i can make frends here who arent scared by my extremely shitposty ooc writing style (tapdances away)

I get the feeling that you might be a DWRP expat, in which case welcome to the most polar opposite forum for RP that I've yet experienced, haha. People here tend to be earnest and relatively open about their OOC chatter, though I haven't started looking for long-term RP yet and can't speak to how that seems to work. The PM system is very well refined so chatter with players OOCly and ICly tends to be nicely organized.

I find that there is a bigger population of OC's here, but if you make canon characters and don't mind being a lone-canon-warrior, you'll still be fine! You can always post on the Looking for RP forum to see if anyone will bite for the canons you're into (they have one for 18+ folks as well that isn't all smut all the time, providing you're also 18+). The current event in the General RP forum is kind of like a test-drive in that you can throw your characters into any thread to dabble around, break the ice with other players, and see if your characters jive well together. It only runs until the 31st, so it's very low pressure and short term.

If you have questions feel free to ask. Folks here are wonderfully chill about answering questions.

Well, don't be intimidated: this site's pretty chill from what I've seen thus far. If you're looking for a specific kind of RP to drop into, the "Find RP" tool is pretty useful to narrow down your search.
