Heya!

I am Rainsong, and I stumbled upon this awesome place by total accident when searching for guides on handling Roleplay communities. In doing so, I explored your wondrous forum, found some RP communities I am hoping to join, and signed up after a few days of shuffling around like the shy-bean nerd I sort of am.

So, I guess this is where I say a little bit about myself?

I cut my RP teeth on Neopets in the early 2000s, graduating to the world that was Gaia Online, before inevitably branching out into the broader world of the internet, be it Discord or MMORPGs. I really enjoy roleplay communiuties, interactive storytelling, and collaborative works of fiction. Suffice to say, I am very excited to find a diverse community dedicated not just to one specific type of roleplay, but to the activity in general.

I am hopeful that I will encounter many awesome people, and that many awesome stories shall be shared and told.

While I'm interested in just about anything, I'm particularly fond of action-adventure roleplay. I live for high intensity, be it character dramatics, character action, combat, you name it. What I love the most, however, are stories that are built around character development and interaction. As such, I like to build characters from the ground up, allowing roleplay to be the primary influence of a character's growth throughout a story.

I'm a paragraph-style RPer, with a penchant for being a bit long-winded or overly descriptive. However, I like to consider myself as relaxed, easy-going, and generally open to various forms and styles of roleplay. My philosophy is "if it's fun, it's fun", and that's all there really is to it.

Like a lot of people here, I remember Gaia; however, I never actually roleplayed there! Very, very, faintly do I remember high school one-line dramas, and everyone being a neko (there's literally nothing wrong with this -- I was there, just not on Gaia!).

I actually started my RP on Furcadia long ago, well over 10 years ago actually. It literally started with someone messaging me when I was randomly within a community exploring: "Do you RP?"

Since then, I've roleplayed on-and-off when life allows!

You seem really down to earth, and I imagine you have tons of ideas for plots and stories! If you ever wanna collaborate and to see if we're compatible literary artists -- message me and we'll give it a whirl!

Hi, dude what you wrote is quite interesting stuff, I didn't played Gaia online and any old school RPG's like EverQuest which don't treat player like a baby.
If you want, you could join me in Fantasy RP, it's in modern setting, if not, I understand but most importantly have fun

Rainsong, you and I both seem to have lots in common! I, too, started on Neopets (circa 2007) and have been a member of RPRep for a few years now. It's the best RP community I have found thus far and I hope you feel at home here, too!

I also tend to reply in paragraphs, and I love fantasy/horror/mystery themes, so if you're interested, let's role play sometime!
