Yo! I'm Alex.
I'm not new to rp at all, however it's a pretty recurring issue for me to be able to find any partners to write with - this seemed like a good site to dump my character's bio onto, in the interest of finding people to roleplay with. Davey Dwyer, the only character profile I have so far, is a very well-fleshed-out character in terms of his backstory, personality, etc, so it was mostly just a matter of getting everything important written down without also making his profile ridiculously long and unreadable.
For genres, I particularly like supernatural roleplays (not the tv show, I mean vampires/werewolves/ghosts/etc) and urban/modern fantasy type stuff - Davey's main canon, and his profile, is written for a real-life setting, but he's also got quite a few established AU canons, so if anyone wants me for an rp, feel free to ask
Aside from roleplay... I'm 19, I play bass guitar, and I'm in the process of enrolling for college to get a computer science degree. I'm a big counterculture guy, I try and get to local shows when I have the money. I've had blue hair, mohawks, I've got spider bites and gauges, and my very own DIY-ed punk vest - when I put the effort in, I look super freaky. No tats, needles scare me and I'm a wuss. The crippling social anxiety and nerdiness kind of negates my punk cred, honestly. Geek punk ftw.
Over summer I saw Against Me! in the local ampitheatre, I was barricade in front of what was possibly the roughest pit I've ever seen, and I'm honestly still crazy excited that I got to go to that show. Favorite music genres are usually emo/pop-punk & dark wave, but I'll listen to anything that's not country. Hit me up if you're into all that stuff, even if you aren't interested in a roleplay, I'll be friends with anyone who lets me ramble about music.
