Kudos for Kim

Kim is the creator and administrator of the best community on the entire internet. She works hard, harder than anyone I know, and I couldn't be happier to be involved in one of her projects as a moderator. She has created a better place for so many of us to be, a place of creativity and love and even healing. Thank you! - Ben

Of all the wonderful things I could say about Kim, I think her guidance to the moderator team needs recognition. Kim's presence is always friendly and she's our 'moderator mom.' Kim and I have known each other and collaborated at various points over the past decade or so, and I am eternally in awe of how far she has come and how hard she works on RPR. I must say, crashes happen but I was extremely impressed with how fast Kim responded and how much she was able to do in such a short period of time! Not only was the site back online super-fast, but all the group content and the forums and messages were fully recovered, with only some minor losses (irrespective of how much we loved and mourned them, very recent characters CAN be recreated quite easily). She has to deal with all of our troubles, big or small, and yet somehow manages to find a way over or around them that makes everyone happy. Kim's work during the server crash is testament to how much heart and soul has gone into this website. Where most sites would be content to upload a backup and leave it at that, Kim has gone above and beyond, jumping through as many hoops as possible to bring back everything she can possibly salvage. Kim has always been one of the kindest people I know and even now with all that is happening with this troublesome band of zombie characters in need of a cure, I hope she knows how happy this site makes many of us. Kim's dedication to this community continues to astound. Near the end of 2018, RPR suffered an unprecedented mass data loss. Kim juggled social media to keep everyone updated while acting as epic cyber-surgeon for hours to ensure she salvaged everything she could. When profiles were still lost as RPR's doors opened back up, Kim asked for information and went full benevolent necromancer for hours more to revive every profile she could, again while still updating folks. So, last night 12/5/2018, the website went down. I honestly cannot imagine how hard it was for Kim to get back everything she did, so kudos to her for working very hard to help as much as she could.
