From the Greek word meaning "glory," a kudos is acclaim for exceptional achievement or qualities.
On the RP repository, receiving a kudos means that another community member recommends you as someone other people might like to get to know. Perhaps because you are exceptionally fun to RP with, exceptionally fun to know, or are just plain exceptional!

A super cool person who has such cute characters and cool ideas! We haven't roleplayed that much together (I think we did once at an event? Not sure though, it's been a while!) but they seem very kind and their scenarios are almost always exciting, sweet, or very pretty sounding. Roleplay with them if you get the chance to!

You would never be able to tell that 89's first language isn't English. Especially not from his writing, which is incredibly impressive to behold. 89 has a unique style that goes into such detail, yet is always engaging and interesting to read. It's not easy to get my easily distracted mind focused, yet somehow 89 manages it. Add to that the fact he is a kind and lovable scamp and you've got yourself an excellent roleplayer. Above all, 0089 is someone who is a good friend. We've been involved in several RPs over the years and some of them work, and some don't, and yet we continue to be in good terms and talk frequently. Having seen year long friendships shattered over 1 RP that went sour, I find this quality in 0089 to be invaluable. All that and an excellent writer to boot. I give him 10/10 Tomahawks.
