How do i use them?

Potion ingredients, mostly! And I've found a weapon or two in ruins.

They can be used for crafting, and Collection symbols sometimes need some of them to complete.

also can someone re link me the walrus game instructions?

You can also just throw stuff into the Armory to make other people deal with it, if you'd prefer.
