My names Spiral (though I've gone by many names, such as Nova, Echoplex, Demidwelling and Blue). I've been roleplaying for many years, I think around 12 years or so (but whose really keeping track of their first days writing?)
For much of my time roleplaying, I stuck to 1 on 1 roleplays in DMs with friends. I've had stories that lasted years (though I often would come up with too many ideas to limit myself to just one). Stories of dragons in space, of desert warriors fighting off a curse, of a kingdom cursed to a realm of cards, a modern setting where humans live alongside mythological half-mixes, and many more. I'm a fan of fantastic settings that bend or mix genres, though I am just as willing to like pure science fiction or fantasy.
Almost everything I do is not based around fandoms or canons from media, however. Sometimes I will take inspiration from video games, such as Dark Souls or Outer Wilds, for my storytelling, but everything is original characters in original settings. I've both been a fan of running my own worlds and exploring others. Collaborative story telling is always my favorite, but I am always willing to improve and add details to settings as needed (run enough TTRPGs and you'll always be ready to improve on a dime.)
I'm very big into video games, writing, and music, which takes up most of my free time. Recently my favorite game has been Warhammer: Darktide, but my current favorite changes rather quickly with each new month. Always looking for new gaming buddies too! I play D&D weekly and occasionally pop into a Pathfinder western march as well. I play several instruments, but primarily guitar and singing. My music tastes are all over the place, but Will Wood and Nine Inch Nails are easily my #1s. Also, I love space, always and forever.
I'm excited to meet new people and get involved in roleplaying again. While I have only been in a few communities for it compared to private DMs, I think my free time and energy nowadays matches this a lot more, and I hope to share some amazing stories with you all.
