Hi I'm new to this community but I like roleplays and would love to find people to write with. I like fantasy and real life scenarios, sci-fi and magic too. Not sure how to find conversation partners..
Hi, welcome to RPR. Here are a few things to get you started:
Here is the Getting Started guide on the site. You might also look through the ads looking for player or post your own on the "Looking for RP."
Note: there is a general one and Adults Only. If you do not want to work with anyone under 18 or you want to do an RP involving adult themes, it has to go on the adult site.
You might also look through the different public sections of the forum for open RPs. There is one for Sci-Fi, Fantasy and General that covers everything else.

The Smalltalk forum category are generally good for casual OOC chatting. Meanwhile, the Looking for RP forum category is a great way to find RP partners. Personally, I look at people's writing in IC games in Forum Games. It's where I've found a lot of great partners.
