I would lurk the boards to learn to get s hang of thing.
They have looking boards where you can find or post roleplaying adds, game boards, roleplaying boards and chat boards.
You can roleplay forum style, in DM or even in groups. It just all depends on your personal preference.

RPR welcomes you! The 'Getting Started' guide that ShadoowVerse provided is a good start. Then have a look at the rest of the Help Database. It helped me out when I started here.

Let's see it looks like you did make a character! that's great. Then if you have an idea for any plots you can go to
Forums > Looking for RP - and you can make a post to share what your plots are, or you can browse other posts to see if fillion might fit in with any of them we also have in character forums for group rps, but I never use them I can't tell you much.
Once you message someone, or they message you (They better be nice and let you ask questions) but you'll notice you can change who's talking on the chat box (POst as: You or one of your characters) and so after you finish plotting you can start a new dem and just start your roleplays.
