"Kojima? Where have I heard that name before...Anyhow, lead the way buddy."

He gestured to Jerry, and glanced at the others. Whatever it was, Drake hoped it wasn't as bad as he thought he was.

Renard quietly followed the group, looking around at others and analyzing them. There was a guy with diamond armor, probably from a Minecraft server. He seemed to be the type to think he's the best, but probably isn't all that good. Another person, a woman, looked like she was very regal. She sat on a diabolical floating crystal skull. Most likely, she came from a Soul Calibur 5 server. the person behind her, however... Renard couldn't tell with them. All he could tell was that they were made of some kind of plush or something? They had a zipper on their chest, but that's all he knew for sure. There sure were a lot of strange people from other games and servers.

Sadur looked around at all the people here. They would be here for a while. "Fantastic. Lets get this over with." Sadur thoight to himself for a moment and then said "What will this test even be?" More of an out loud thought than a question.

"I think it'll be some kind of fight against an NPC," said Jerry.

"Nope!" came a familiar voice. It was Hiro, the Xenoverse player, coming out from the crowd. "I just got finished taking my exam, and I can tell ya right now that there isn't a single NPC in the whole Pangaea server right now."

"Hey, Hiro!" said Jerry.

"What's up?" said Hiro. "But yeah, the test is a fight against a moderator. You don't actually have to win; they just need to be satisfied that you're a good enough fighter to be allowed on the front lines."

"Is that right?" said Jerry. "How did you do?"

Hiro lifted a V sign. "No problem! I fraught a Pokken Tournament player and creamed 'em! What's that big, grey, four-armed Pokémon, anyway? It looked freaky."

"Four arm what?"

He shuddered. No way he wanted to fight any four armed dude who wanted to take on a kid.

"I'm afraid that unlike you, Hiro, I have brains rather than brawn residing in my noggin."

Renard nodded at Drake, "I'm the same way, but my brain helps me take down things that rely on brawn." He continued in his head, "well, that and my ability to pocket many different things and use them later. But, you guys don't need to understand my ability yet." His thoughts started shifting over to how he could possibly outsmart a four armed pokemon which he suspected to be Machamp.

Sadur looked himself over and thought to himself. This shouldn't be too hard right? "So what should we do while we wait? Because I am very bored." Sadur said. (Writers block right now)

"Well, brains or brawn, the bottom line is that we need to be good at curbing enemy numbers," said Jerry.

Hiro puffed out his chest. "I've faced tons of 'smart' people before, but I creamed 'em easily by not letting them make a plan before breaking their faces in."

"Yeah, yeah, we get it," said Jerry. "There. I'm registered. Now I have to wait until my turn is up. In the meantime, why don't we--" Jerry suddenly had a red arrow icon appear over his head. "Well, looks like I'm up already. See ya!" Jerry his a button on his Xtranciever, and he was transported to a wide, nearly featureless room. In front of him was a big, big man with a large, spinning minigun. Behind this man was a much thinner man dressed in a large lab-coat. "Two on one, huh? That doesn't seem fair."

He twiddled his thumbs. Perhaps he should just give up and quit fighting. But he knew something like that would never happen. Drake simply just wasn't a quitter. He knew that Jerry wasn't a quitter as well. He decided to take his mind off of it and put his thoughts on Jerry passing.

"Best of luck, kiddo."

"Hmm... So we just register and get pulled in, huh? Seems simple enough to me." He shrugged and registered as well, excited to see what happens next. "I wonder how long it'll be for me to be called."

(sorry for being late and providing a lame post, i was focusing on an essay i forgot to do and used a day to do a week's worth so a little low on fuel)

Sadur stood there as well watching. "So thats it?" Sadur had no from of tech so he would have to go find a bootg or something. "I have no form of signing for this from here." He said. "See ya later." He began pushing through the crowd looking for some registration booth or some sorts. He kept pushing through the sea of people in search of anything resembling it.

It wasn't long before machine gun fire started spilling out from the maw of the beastly machine in the large warrior's hand. Meanwhile, the thinner man poured forth a stream of red energy from his own mechanism into his partner. Jerry, meanwhile, ran around and around to avoid gun-fire.

The Medic, however, who he'd weapons and pulled out an air powered gun of his own and proceeded to fire relentlessly at him as well.

"Riot!" Jerry shouted, throwing a Pokéball. Out came his Steel type fighter, holding up its paws to deflect as many bullets and needles as he could, but it's strength was fading quickly. "Hit 'em with Dark Pulse!"

The Lucario let loose a wave of black energy, knocking both of its two opponents aside, with the Jeavy standing back up quickly.

"Extreme Speed!"

With that order, the Lucario blasted forward and collided with the large man, knocking him down again. That's when the Medic got his bearings and began healing his partner with the red stream again.

"Riot, return!" He called his partner back into its ball before throwing out another one. "Roxanne! Confuse Ray!" With that, he let loose a Vulpix, and it gleefully shining a ray of disorienting light into the Heavy's eyes.

After registering, Drake sat down, nervously wiping grime off his goggles. Immediately, a red arrow appeared over his head, signaling him to go towards the next available room.

"Well, wish me luck."

He steeled his resolve and ventured forth.

A red arrow soon spawned above Renard's head, guiding him to the room where he would be tested. He walked in and found one single person standing there. They looked like captain falcon, but clearly weren't. "You better be falcon ready," they said as they juggled an iron ball with one hand before charging at Renard.

Sadur registered and he suffered a similar fate, a red arrow. He was transported to a room. Looking around he saw nothing, and knew what this meant. An archer or another type of stealthy warrior was abound. Sadur refrained from drawing his weapons, waiting for sight on the enemy.

The Heavy eventually ran out of bullets in his giant gun, and in his dazed state resorted to throwing his giant fists around at random, accidentally landing a blow against the Medic's face.

"Awesome!" said Jerry. "Hit the Medic with Flamethrower!" The little fox belched out a wave of flames all over the Medic, lighting him on fire and inviting loud screams in agony. "Oh, well, that may have been a little more intense than I had meant for it to be."

The Heavy snapped out of his confusion and found his partner running around in flames. "Doctor!" He reached for something, and Jerry knew immediatly what was coming.

"Roxy! Go fetch!" he ordered. The Vulpix dashed from its spot and after the Heavy. Sure enough, the big man took out he legendary lunch item, the Sandvich, and tossed it at his partner. Before it could reached its target, though, the Vulpix leaped up and snatched the morsel out of the air and brought it back to Jerry. The large, bald man snorted and charged at Jerry. "Roxy, toast him!" The big man soon found himself running headlong into a wall of fire.

It was at that moment when a team of medics and healers spilled into the room and began working their various wares on the burning men. A lady Pokemon Trainer came over to Jerry and let out an Audino who used Heal Pulse.

"Congratulations," said the trainer. "You've passed your examination with flying colors! Your profile is now being fitted with an official Combat Seal."

Jerry's face lit up. "That's awesome! I'm gonna save the servers!" He was escorted out of the arena and back into the waiting area with the rest of the crowd. "I wonder how the guys are doing."

Drake received the same treatment that Jerry had, and was shown his way out. Rather unwilling to go into specifics, all one could say was that he was covered in red, and smelled nasty.

"...I need a shower."

(Playable characters only. The plot revolves around the fact that NPC types are out of control, so they're not being used here for safety purposes)
