Arien slid to the floor where he pet Bella, speaking softly to her. He grabbed one of the bones he'd brought from the market and gave it to her. With a happy tail wag and a short lick to his hand, she began to happily crunch away on the bone.

Arien watched her before realization dawned. The Aurean Wolf--and Bella in particular--had some sort of anesthetic in their saliva. It was probably a result of their more acidic blood that burned, but it worked better than any salve. Oh well, he wasn't sure he could get Bella to lick Red's arm, let alone encourage Red to let Bella do it.

Red came back inside after fixing them up an banishing them to sleep outside for the night. Sighing, she walked into the kitchen and took a knife out of a drawer then cleaned one of the rabbits that Neo had caught. Cutting the meat up, she put some of it away and put the rest in the pot hanging over the fireplace. She started a fire in the fire place then went back into the kitchen.
Unwrapping the bandage around her arm, she sighed when she saw how bad it looked.
"Well damnit all..i need to train tommorow otherwise my skills will get dull," she said to herself as she wrapped her arm back up.
Taking out tomatoes, potatoes, and a few various other things, she diced them up and pu. Them in the pot with meat. She got a few glasses of water and them in there too then sat down close to the fireplace and relaxed.

Arien wandered out of the bedroom to check on things. He was surprised how much room there was without two giant cats taking up space. He stopped though when he saw Red relaxing in front of the fireplace; and for a moment he just watched her.

"Amazing, isn't it, how much space two tigers can take up?" Bella seemed to nod--though perhaps she was only smelling whatever was cooking.

Red let her hair down for the first time and it fell down her back. It was long and slightly curly, it made her eyes stand out whenever she let it down. Watching the fire, she was lost in her memories.

Arien's fingers twitched as Red's amber locks cascaded down her back, but he was loathe to interrupt the stillness that had settled over her. Like she was deep in thought.

A small, soft smile creased his features as he felt himself relaxing. He hadn't realized how tense he was the last few days, until now in this quiet repose. He leaned against the wall, content to simply relish the peace after the fighting tigers.

Bella wandered over to the fire where she flopped down with a sigh next to Red; her tail wagging briefly in greeting.

Bella's prescense brought her back to the present and she smiled.
"Hey Bella. You want some of this meat stew when its done cooking?" Red spoke softly, used tothe silence.
She reached out a hand to pet Bella then hesitated, not sure how Bella would react to her.

Bella sniffed Red's hand briefly, then gave it a quick lick and leaned closer for a rub. Arien was about to warn Red about the fur being coarse, but bit back his words. She would find out for herself shortly.

Besides, Red was good with animals and he was amused by her and Bella's interaction. Good girl, Bella, he praised the wolf silently. He decided to make his presence known.

"Well I don't know about Bella, but I wouldn't mind some of that stew...it smells amazing."

Red smiled and Scratched Bella softly, not at all minding her fur.
"Your a pretty wolf Bella," Red compliemented.

Red jumped and took her hand away from Bella when Arien walked in.

Arien grinned. "Sorry, did I startle you?"

Bella sighed and placed her head in Red's lap, loving the attention. Just because she couldn't speak like the tigers, didn't mean she didn't have her ways of communicating.

Red blushed a little.
"Yea. You did," she said.
Smiling, Red scratched Bella softly again petted her.
"Just a couple more minutes and the stew will be done," she said, sighing.
For the first time in a while, Red relaxed and felt happy. She had new frends and everything was peaceful, for now.

Arien's grin faded and he settled down by the fire. "It's funny," he said his voice soft, "how having a roof over your head and a fire in the hearth can give you a feeling of security you just can't get anywhere else."

Bella leaned into the scratching, tail thumping madly as Red got just the right spot.

Red grinned and kept scratching Bella for a minute longer than she got up and went into the kitchen. And for girls its nice to have a guy around the house. For me it helps me out when it comes to hunting and all that..Red thought as she got some bowls.
Walking out of the kitchen and over to the fireplace, she put three bowls to her right then two on her left. She filled up the three bowls and set one in front of Bella. Filling up the two on her left, she handed one to Arien and gave him a spoon, then took the other two bowls outside for Neo and Nex.
Patch ran into the room with Bella and Arien, while Red was outside. Patch sniffed and ran over to Red's bowl, sticking her head into the bowl, she ate away at Red's stew.

Arien watched in amusement and then horror as the kitten proceeded to eat its way through Red's bowl of stew.

"Hey, hey! You should ask before you eat someone else's meal." Arien picked up the kitten and replaced Red's half-eaten bowl with his own, untouched bowl.

"If you're going to eat, at least be proper about it." He sighed as Bella scarfed down hers and then offered the kitten the rest of whatever it hadn't eaten from the bowl. Idly he wondered what cat tasted like.

Patch watched Bella eat hers then copied Bella in every way she did it. Red came back in and looked from Arien to Patch.
"Um.. I think Patch ate your soup.." she said and tried not to laugh.
Red poured another bowl for Arien and handed it to him then sat down to eat hers.

Arien just shook his head. "Ah well, it's just food, right?" Yeah, right. Food was everything to a man. He set the kitten aside only after Red returned and was able to defend her bowl from the kitten's fierce appetite.

"Thanks," he said, pouring a liberal amount of Tabasco sauce into the stew before eating his way through it.

Red smiled at Arien for some reason. Starting on her stew, she let her thoughts wonder.
Patch pounced on Bella's tail with her claws out. Then proceeded to climb up Bella's back, claws out to grip her fur.

Bella whipped her tail out of the kitten's sharp grasp and then turned to sniff at him, seemingly undisturbed by his sharp claws; doubtless her coarse fur protected her somewhat. She gave him a tentative lick, before giving her bowl the final lick.

Arien scraped his spoon against the bowl and then sighed in bliss. "That was the best meal I've had in ages." For a moment he remained seated, just content to lie there.

Patch climbed onto Bella's head and half layed there, purring.

Red smiled at Bella an Patch then looked over at Arien.
"Really? Good. And thanks." she said, smiling then stood up and took her, Ariens, an Bella's bowl into the kitchen.
Sighing, she ran her fingers through her hair then washed the bowls out. Red walked outside and brought in the two tiger's bowls. She washed them like the others then put them up.

Bella lay her head back down, eyes half closed and careful not to roll lest she disturb the kitten on her head.

Arien wandered into the kitchen and then stopped. "Oh, uh, I could have washed the dishes for you..." He rubbed his hands together, almost nervously.

Red jumped in surprise and turned around, blushing with embarrasment.
"Oh..uh no its fine I had it," she said quickly.
Avoiding Arien's eyes because it felt a little wierd to be alone with him, she started to walk past him. Knowing it was gonna be a chilly night, she thought Arien might need extra covers.

Patch fell asleep, half on Bella's head and the other half on her neck. Patch purred while he slept.
