Arien laughed. "Travelling will be so much fun!" He had the niggling doubt too that he would be thrown out of fewer taverns. Though whether he could curtail his habit of flirting with other women remained to be seen.

"If we're travelling though; it'd probably be best to leave sooner rather than later. Just because we'll have more provisions."

Outside their room, Bella was noticing the water and she splashed through it to enter Red's room where she paused to pick up her feet and shake the water off them.

Red smiled and nodded. "Sounds like a great idea, but can we get some sleep first," Red said smiling a little and biting her lip.
She barely heard Bella trotting over through the water as it countinuelly rose.

Neo and Nex jumped up hissing at the water, while Patch climed onto Nex's back. Shaking off the water and dousing the fire.

"Will you be alright with that...ah," he didn't know how to phrase his concern for her arm. And then feeling a slight dampness as Bella almost literally stepped on him, he looked down and frowned. "Bella, what did you get into this time?" He hadn't yet seen the other room.

"My arm will be fine for a little while," Red said reassuringly.
Red looked over at the doorway and saw water. Gasping, she tried to jump up but fell off the bed, into water.
"Oh! Arien!" she said in shock.
Red knew right away what Ash was doing. Scrambling up, her clothes soaked already, Red ran into the living room. The water was already up to her ankles.
"Neo! Nex! Try to get that door open!" she said in an authoritive tone.

Ash smiled wickedly as she knew very well that Red was panicking.

"What's going on? A leak?" But it wasn't raining. "Where's the water coming from?" He grimaced as he sloshed after Red, grabbing his boots along the way.

Bella stayed in the drier room, but it didn't look like it was going to be staying very dry for long. "Ah! My pack! My clothes!" Any bread and dried food he'd packed were soon to be sopping wet.

"Damnit Arien! Ash is going to drown us!" Red yelled with a hint of fear was in her voice.
Neo and Nex slammed against the door but it wouldnt budge. Red sniffled as fear overwhelmed her but she tried her hardest to suppress it from showing.
Suddenly water poured into the house and the water up to Red's knees. Red hissed in frustration an looked around wildly trying to find some way to escape.
"Arien..i dont know what to do.." Red said in discomfort.
Grabbing Arien's pack she threw it onto the shelf above the fireplace.

Ash smiled in satisfaction and watched through Red's window. She loved the note of fear in Red's voice.
"This is going to be intresting" she said smugly.

"Calm down; as long as you can swim--and I know you can--we won't drown immediately." He went over to the window and tried to open it. If it didn't budge, he'd have to smash out the window pane.

"Do you mind if I destroy your window?" he asked. It wasn't that he wasn't afraid of drowning; it was that because Red was freaking out, he didn't have to.

"Not at all. Please do," Red tryed to say calmly but the water was rising several inches every second they stood there.
Soon it was to Red's chest and it was getting cold. Neo and Nex were swimming now and Neo had thankfully grabbed Red's gold sword and Arien's cloak. Patch sat on Nex's head while Nex tried to keep his head above water.

Ash was standing right outside the window Arien was standing at and she tapped the window to get Arien's attention. Smirking with satisfaction as the water rose quickly.

Arien's eyes widened and he ended up inhaling a breath of water at seeing someone just outside. "A-as-ash!" he spluttered, coughing as he tried to swing the pommel of his sword at the window, intending to break the glass.

If worse came to worse he could teleport himself and Red outside; but he wasn't sure he could do the same with the animals. And teleporting was uncertain at best.

Bella doggy-paddled, keeping up with the tigers as she searched for some place to stand.

"A-Arien!" Red managed to gasp before she wasunder the water completely and the veins had already worn her out so she wasnt sure if she could swim for much longer.

Ash held the window in place so it wouldnt break and smirked as she saw Red go under.
"Arien. Red is running out of time. And unless you can convince me to let you out. You wont make it," Ash spoke clearly and Arien heard her as if she was right next to him but she wasnt.

Neo and Nex managed to hang on to a shelf really high up on the wall but they knew it would be under water soon.

"Best friends don't kill each other over stupid things," Arien replied, his eyes blazing in fury. "If you have a problem with someone, try resolving it before you give up on them. Red kept that flower because it reminded her of you; do you think she'd keep something from an enemy? Now if you don't mind; I have a damsel to save. Even if it's with my dying breath."

He took a shaky breath and dove under the water to grab hold of Red and propel her to the surface where she could get a breath. But it was going to be tight. The water was rising too quickly.

Red almost blacked out from holding her breath so long but refused to make it so hard on Arien.
Not this time.. He always saves me..i have to do something.. she thought desperatly but held onto Arien he grabbed onto her.
Her eyes told him she was sorry that she couldnt do anything. Then an idea popped into her head and she had to carry it out.

Ash shrugged and left the barriers up then turned around and hissed to Arien.
"She ruined my life. And for that, she will never be forgiven."
Walking away to leave them to drown, she smirked at the destruction she would give to people everywhere.
"That and i no longer need to be in a close range to control my Withering Willow, Red. So you will die first. Either way," Ash spoke more to herself than anyone.

They broke the surface with a gasp, although Arien had another retort ready for Ash.

"My brothers ruined my life; but you don't see me running after them with the intent to kill. It doesn't matter what happened in the past--you have to move on! Forgive and forget!" He didn't even know if Ash was listening and he was treading water, keeping Red afloat. "And are you even so sure it was Red who ruined it?"

Red coughed up water which she had managed to swallow before they broke surface. She managed to grab onto the shelf that was now a few inches under water.
"Neo..give me my sword," she coughed out.
Neo put the sword into Red's hand and Red gripped the handle tightly. Taking a deep breathe she dove underwater. Swimming over to her window, she braced herself and slammed her blade's tip into the middle of the window.
Cracks appeared in the window and spread farther. And the window shattered under the pressure of the water. Right before the window gave way, Red saw Ash and gasped, forgetting she was underwater.

The water was sucking and pulling at the two tigers and Bella as well as Arien. Water poured out of the window and Red was sucked out with the current. The grass was flooded by time all the water was out of the house except several inches worth. Items were spread all over the grass, including Ariens pack which wasnt completely soaked.

Arien lay in the grass for a long moment; his breath coming in gasps as he relived his almost-dying spree.

"Ya know?" He croaked, "I could do without seeing my life flash before my eyes." Groggily he crawled over to Red to check that she was breathing. "...Red?"

Red didnt move nor did her chest show any signs of breathing.

Nex and Neo got up shaking water from their pelts. Hissing at being soaked, they started licking theyre fur. Patch mewled and shivered from the cold.

"Red! Wake up!" But she wasn't responding...or breathing. His face turned ashen and he seemed to age about ten years. He tilted her head back, clearing her airway before collecting himself. "Come on, Red..." He took a deep breath and went mouth-to-mouth, forcing air into her lungs. Please don't die, please don't die, became his mantra.

Red felt wierd, it was dark and cold. She wasnt sure where she was. Then suddenly flames were licking at her clothes and hair. Red screamed in surprise then leapt off her bed, running to her parents room. Before she reached it, a wall of flames blocked her and burnt her fingertips as she reached out to grab her fathers hand. Jerking back her hand she realized that all this had happened before.
Ash did this..many years ago...Arien! she thought in shock.

Red felt a body close to hers and her body felt cold and heavy. Gasping, she opened her eyes and realized Arien had his mouth to hers. Jerking away, she crawled a little ways before coughing up alot of water.
Red's clothes were soaked through and she couldnt quite remember what had just happened. Sitting up she looked around a little confused.

Arien sat back, watching helplessly as Red coughed up the water she'd inhaled. He was trembling from the thought that he'd nearly lost her.

Bella meanwhile had regained her footing and was stumbling around a bit, before she shook herself. Water sprayed everywhere, but Arien didn't even notice. Red had his full attention.

Red coughed a few more times, her throat stinging from the cold water. Shivering slightly she looked at Arien and realized something was wrong. Crawling over to him, she studied his eyes.
"Whats wrong,Arien?" she whispered.

Neo walked over to Patch and licked him dry. Then purred and picked him up, turning to Nex and signaling they should check that Ash wasnt around.
