Red sleepily looked over at where the knock came from.
Why the heck is this guy sticking around Red thought to herself.
She started to sit up and winced as her muscles strained to do as she wanted.

Nex quickly ran in front of the man and rushed in, setting Red's medicine down beside her hand. Smiling Red softly rubbed Nex's left ear. But closed her eyes as her body burned with pain.
Red. Dont push yourself just to show this man your strong. You'll hurt yourself further and we both know this isnt gonna get better sooner with you always trieing to show off. Nex told her. Red acknowledged him with a small nod and took a couple of red pills. The pain dimmed almost instantly.

Arien's merry mood vanished when he saw Red wince. He entered and placed the food beside her, being careful of the tiger in the room.

Pills and her lethargy worried him. "If you're sick or injured, you should rest; not wander around in the woods. Tigers or not, I daresay they can't help you if you pass out."

Red glared at him.
"You know i dont need your help. Me and my tigers have been survivng on our own for the past 6 years," she snapped at him.
Nex rolled his eyes an layed down on the floor next to her bed. Red turned away from the man and looked out the window.
"Stupid males...think they know everything..." Red muttered to herself.

"I'm not talking about the past six years--I'm talking about the next six years. If it's getting worse then you shouldn't push yourself."

He crossed his arms and huffed. "I don't know why I even bother. Maybe I'll just let your tigers eat you when you collapse from pure exhuastion. Or some bystander comes to investigate the strange house in the woods. I'm sure tiger tracks are near impossible to cover up."

He wasn't a blackmail sort of person, but he didn't mind pointing out the obvious either. Besides it was clear anyway she didn't have the strength to attack him.

Red turned around and glared at him.
"What do you know? My tigers wouldnt eat me. And nobody comes this far back in the woods. And not to mention its not getting worse. My tigers learned to walk lightly and unless its raining no one could possibly see thier tracks,"Red growled.
She glanced at her sword then realized she never unattached the chain from her arm. She coughed lightly and looked at the man.
"Please leave. I have something i need to do," Red tried to say as politely as possible.

"They're still wild animals," Arien muttered as he left the room. "Just because you can control them now, doesn't mean they'll always listen to you."

Returning to the main room he pulled out his sword to clean it. He'd seen Red glance at her own weapon, and he wasn't completely sure she didn't mean to try something unexpected.

Bella came over to him and sniffed him carefully. "It's okay, Bella. I'm in one piece still."

"Im going to punch that man next time.."she growled to Nex.
Nex flicked his ears in amusement. Red removed her shirt and took off the chain from around her arm then put her shirt back on. She sighed and looked at the cooked fish then slowly picked up a piece and ate it. She shrugged because it wasnt too bad.
You should thank him later on you know.. Nex thought.
"....I know.." murmured Red, grudingly.

Neo walked past the man and wolf. He felt the air change with some tension and irritation.
Red's at it again.. Neo thought to himself. He quickly trotted over to the rug in front of the fireplace and layed down, loving the warm feeling.

Arien looked up briefly when the tiger--Neo--returned. His grip tightened briefly on the sword, but when the tiger lay down and didn't pose a threat, Arien relaxed a little. He grinned in spite of the situation.

"Who'd've thunk that I'd be following a tiger lady into the woods and wind up cleaning my sword next to a tiger." He spoke aloud but didn't expect a response. He finished cleaning his sword and with one last scrub over the blue jewel on the pommel, he slid it back into the scabbard.

"And now for food." He rummaged into his pack and pulled out his ration of food for the day, wondering idly if he should return to town to pick up more provisions.

I dont know. What did you expect? Neo sent the thought to the man.

Red fell asleep as the afternoon light shone onto her bed. Nex made sure she was asleep before walking out and into the next room, where everyone else was. Smells like rain. Nex sent the thought to everyone in the room. Outside it was a cloudless, sunny, afternoon so it seemed impossible. Nex sat on the opposite side of the room from where Red's room was. He layed down after a few minutes and put his head on his paws.

"Um, not that, to be honest." Arien replied. Then looked up as Nex entered. "Oh, is, um, Red okay?" he asked, wondering if he should check on her.

He climbed to his feet and tied his sword around him, deciding that he would go to town briefly for more supplies. "I'm gonna head out for a bit. Is there, um, anything she needs I can get there?" He glanced out the window. "And what are you talking about, it doesn't look like rain."

Red's asleep. And as soon as you walk out that door it will start raining. Good luck getting back being dry.. Nex sent the thought and even his thoughts seemed sleepy.
Neo was already asleep. Nex was almost asleep but looked at the man when he got up. Thinking about if Red needed anything, he shrugged.

Arien grinned and stepped outside, to prove the tiger wrong. "Rain, huh?"

Lightning shot across the sky and soft thunder boomed over head. Then rain started pelting down, fast and hard. Nex smiled as the man was soaked in seconds.
Nex put his head on his paws and purred with amusement.

"What the--" Arien dashed back inside, his soaked cloak clinging to him. "Ugh! What was that?! It was sunny and blue skies out just moments ago."

He unfastened his cloak, letting it fall to the floor. He shook his head, water spraying from his short hair in all directions. "Great. It's gonna take all day to dry now. And I guess this means I'm stuck here for the time being."

He sighed and paced around the small room before pausing to peek into Red's room to check on her.

Red was still asleep with a few strands of her hair fell in her face. She looked alot nicer asleep then awake. Suddenly thunder loud enough to shake the whole house woke her up with a jolt. She sat up quickly and screamed in surprise, because she was having a nightmare. Neo and Nex surprisingly were used to it and stayed asleep.

Arien hadn't meant to intrude, but he flinched as the thunder struck and if she hadn't screamed, he might have. He had his hand on his hilt, before realizing there wasn't a threat.

"It's alright," he said, "just a storm." Breathing hard from his own shock he realized he was still dripping. "It's coming down pretty hard," he added.

She calmed down, realizing she wasnt in her nightmare then pushed the few strands that went fell in her face, back away.
"...yea.. It tends to do that.." she murmured.
She leaned forward then looked over at the man.
"So i never caught your name," Red said softly, suddenly acting nicer.

Arien blinked; surprised by the sudden change. One moment she'd been ready to hit him, and now she was acting...nice? Never mind having woken so suddenly from sleep. He'd never understand women.

"It's Arien. Arien Chase. And you would be...Red?" Just because the tiger had said it was her name, didn't mean it was. For all he knew, the animal had made up the name. Never mind the telepathy.

Red nodded and smiled a little.
"Thats my name..dont wear it out," she said in a joking manner.
She winced a little because her shoulder started throbbing in pain. She put her hand to her shoulder and squeezed a little, trieing to dim down the pain.

Arien twitched at her joke, but allowed a faint smile.

"Is your shoulder alright?" he asked. "I might have some salve in my pack--it works well for strained muscles."
