She blushed a tiny bit when he picked her up and set her down, but her hardhead came into play right around this point.
"I can still do stuff. My legs work fine. I can come with you to get the provisions," she offered.
She wasnt worried about Neo and Nex. In fact she had more than enough confodence they could take care of themselves and the wolf for a few days without them.
Arien crossed his arms and raised an eyebrow. "Really?" But she had a point. "Fine," he relented, "but you're not carrying anything. Not with your injured arm at least."

She amused him and he would welcome her on the trip. And the open-air market wasn't that far away. Not that he'd be doing any teleporting in the next couple of days. "If you get tired or your arm hurts, tell me."

"Yes father," she said sarcastically.
She jumped up and grabbed his arm then raced out of the healer's place. Realizing she was pracrically dragging him along, she let go of his arm and looked at the sky.
She smiled as she thought of a surprise for Arien.
Arien scowled but didn't fight it as she dragged him outside. He did rub his arm when she released him again. He gathered that Red's smile was for being outside again, and read nothing further into it.

"No rain, good." He stretched and looked around as the smell of bread baking wafted towards them. "Food, right." He headed for the market where all sorts of trinkets from food to jewelry to weapons were being sold.

She followed closely behind him and when he wasnt looking, she slipped off into the crowd. She searched for the man she had bought a cloak from before. She found him several minutes later.
"Hey i need the most expensive cloak you've got." she said to him.
He nodded and looked through all his cloaks till he found the most expensive and there was only a few of its kind.
The cloak was a deep, forest green and all the edges were trimmed with fine gold an silver lace, that was weaved into the fabric. The hood had the same and a nice silver, leaf pin was pinned into the coat at the right chest area.
"The price is 160 mam," the vendor said and stuck out his hand.
Red smiled with excitement and handed him the gold coins to pay for it. He wrapped it up in thick paper then handed it to her.
Arien bought what he needed, before pausing by a butcher's shop. He turned to ask Red what the tigers might like--when he realized she wasn't with him. He sighed.

"I'll take two of the largest bones you've got, and a medium sized one, please." Arien ordered. The man gave him a strange look before wrapping up the order. Arien paid and then began to backtrack his steps to see if Red had taken a rest somewhere.

On his way back he passed a curious shop with odd items. One such were reinforced arm guards that a falconer or bowman might use. Arien grinned and bought two for Red. They might prevent or at least lessen the damage if there was a next time.

Red stuffed the package into the rucksack she just bought then headed back into the crowd, looking for Arien. She passed by an alleyway and heard mewling. Stopping dead in her tracks, she went down the alley to find a black kitten with a white patch around his left eye, abandoned. The kitten tottered over to Red and started to claw his way up her pants. Red smiled and picked the kitten up, then headed towards the entrance of the alleyway.
Footsteps told Red she was being followed. She smirked then cold fear struck her as she realized she didnt have her gold-bladed sword. Then the person following her made a move; Red heard the blade slicig through the air and ducked, dust showered her and the kitten as the blade struck a house instead.
Red quickly placed the kitten in her ruck sack, safely tucked between the cloak and the bread she just bought. Red quickly flipped sideways and hit the wall, pushing off the wall and punching the stranger with her injured arm. Red ignored the pain and watched with satisfaction as the stranger stumbled backwards and hit the opposite wall. Quickly, Red ran out of the alley and had to shut her eyes for a second when the sunlight hit her eyes.

"Damn where is that idiot when you need him.." she muttered and ran through the crowd. She slid to a stop in front of a weapons store and ran inside. She quickly bought a sword with a green jewel in the middle of the hilt.
She ran back out and knew instantly that the stranger was right behind her. I have to get out of this crowd... Red thought urgently.
Not seeing Red was cause for concern. "Where did she go?" He muttered. If Bella were here, she might be able to track Red--but Bella wasn't here. "Damn it, do I have to tie a piece of string to you? You were just behind me," he said to no one.

It was the cause of commotion on the far end of the crowd that drew his attention. Could that be Red at its source? No time like the present. He dropped off the stuff he'd bought with a merchant--swearing that there would be hell to pay if he sold anything--and then headed for the commotion.

"Red? Red!" He still didn't see her, even as he elbowed his way through the crowd.

Red ran through the crowd still not fully recovered, she got tired quickly but ignored it and ran through the crowd. Bursting through the crowd, she slid on the sand and almost fell but managed to regain her balance. The stranger charged at her now with his/her sword drawn; they tried to cut Red's injured arm but Red turned and blocked it with her sword.
The blow from another persons sword made Red stumble and almost fall; the enemy took a swing at her, managing to knick Red's cheek. Red growled and gently set the rucksack down then dove forward and kicked the persons legs out from under them.
Red knocked their sword away from them and they kicked Red's sword out of her hand. Red punched the stranger. They fell, fighting to the ground; Red managed to get in a good blow an crawled over to her sword.
"Crap," Arien caught a familiar sight of what had to be Red in the middle of the fray. He drew his sword and bellowed "move!" to the crowd as he sprinted forward. Except he didn't sprint. He teleported.

One moment he was squashed by the crowd, the next he was between Red and her attacker, sword up in defense. He blinked in surprise and sudden weariness. "I don't know who you are, or why you're attacking my friend, but stop it--she's already injured."

Red was breathing heavily and she kept her sword up in defense.
"If you get in my way i will kill you too," the stranger spoke in a deep voice.
Red growled and gripped the hilt of her sword so hard, her hand started bleeding. She leapt forward and swung her sword, catching the man off guard and cutting his chest deeply. The stranger fell back in pain then kicked Red's feet out from under her and quickly pinned her; his sword to her throat. Red growled but didnt move.
Arien froze as well, though his sword point had fallen to the level of the stranger's eyes.

"Who are you? What do you want?" Arien demanded, wishing that Bella was here. If ever he needed a wolf with the ability to paralyze, it was now. "You're not seriously going to murder her in cold blood, are you?"

He slid his hand into a pocket, where he kept his throwing dagger.

The man looked at Arien and pressed the sword down harder, drawing a little blood. "If i have to," he said.
Suddenly Nex crashed through the bushes and ran out of the woods. Before the man could do anything the tiger headbutted the man away from Red. The stranger went flying a few feet, before landing on the hard ground.
Red gasped as the sword was lifted off her throat and there was no danger for her at the moment.
Arien flinched as the tiger appeared from nowhere and flung the man away. If this man meant to harm Red, then there was only one way to deal with it.

In the blink of an eye he was beside the fallen stranger, and this time Arien had his blade pressed against the stranger's throat. "Give me one good reason why I shoudn't slit your throat right now."

The man looked up at Arien then smirked.
"There isnt one," he said simply.
Red sat up and wiped the blood off her neck, she shook her head ran her fingers through her hair. She was a little shaky at first then she stood up.
Nex quickly sniffed at her, checking her over.
"Im fine stop fussing," Red snapped at Nex.
Grabbing her rucksack and new sword, she winced as she noticed her injured arm was hurting. Walking over to Arien, she hid her arm behind her back and touched his shoulder.
"Leave him Arien.." she whispered.
Arien looked up at Red and then back down at the stranger. "You try this again, I'll feed you to the tiger myself."

He stood up, but didn't sheathe his sword--no sense in leaving an opening for an attack. "Red, are you okay? How's your arm?"

Red was a little surprised he asked about her and she looked away.
"My arms fine." she said quietly.
Nex purred softly and rubbed his head on Red's leg, happy she was safe. Remembering the cloak, Red suddenly wanted to get back to her house.
Arien nodded, though he didn't believe her. "Alright. I just need to pick up some stuff I left with a merchant. Hopefully he hasn't sold it all."

He stumbled slightly as exhaustion swept over him. Some days he couldn't use his teleportation at all, and then there were days like this where he overexerted himself. "Stay here while I go get it." The tiger would keep her safe for the meantime.

"Oh.. Ok."Red looked at the ground then started to walk to the shade of the woods.
Nex followed closely behind.
I wonder if he'll be ok... Red thought and worried a little.
It wasn't that far to the merchant, where Arien was relieved to find nothing had been touched. Probably the bones on top had scared him off. "Thanks," he said, and tossed the man a gold coin.

Shouldering his bags he paused to blink back encroaching black spots. "Come on," he muttered, "it was just a little traveling--I'm not that out of shape." He returned back to where he'd left Red, and looked around for her, when dizziness overcame him.
