Red was laughing so hard she could barely keep her head above the water. With a sudden realization, she noticed she was actually having... Fun.

Nex looked up as he heard the splash then smoothed out his fur as he realized what had happened.

Under the water, Arien looked around to spot Red's feet a few yards ahead of him. He grinned as he swam up behind her and grabbed for them. If she wanted to play tricks, he was the master of them.

She gasped when she felt something below her.
"What th heck?!" she looked down into the water.

Arien pulled on her feet, dragging her down a little before surfacing next to her with a gasp and a laugh.

"Thought that'd get you," he said with a smirk, leaning back so he could float without kicking his legs. For the first time in a while, he actually felt relaxed. The water felt good and his buoyancy took the strain out of his muscles.

Red laughed when she came back up to the surface. She swam over to him then put her hands on his chest an pushed down, forcing him under water. She laughed then dove under the water and started to swim to the opposite side of the pond.

Fortunately Arien had taken a breath before she submerged him. He grinned and struck out after her, grateful for his strength that allowed him to cut through the water--if not gracefully, then powerfully.

"Are we doing laps?" he asked, as he caught up to her.

Red laughed when he caught up to her. Red's laughter was cut short when she heard the whistle of a blade cutting through the air. Red leapt on top of Arien, forcing him under the water with her body weight. The blade missed them both by a centimeter.

Arien surfaced again, with some surprise. "What--" Then he saw their attacker. "Damn it. Really? In the water? Now?"

He grabbed Red to haul her out of danger. "Why do people want to kill you?" he asked, one hand disappearing into a pocket on his chest.

She coughed a little then held onto Arien shirt.
"Its the same guy as before." she told Arien.
She looked over at the kitten then yelled to Nex.
"Get Patch outta the way!" she pointed to kitten with her injured arm and realized her arm was bleeding again.
Damn....
Nex jumped up and grabbed the kitten carefully before running off.

Arien grimaced, seeing the bleeding arm. "I have extra wrapping in my pack. Go. I'll distract this guy."

Red hesitated then started to swim away.
"Dont die or i'll bring you back from the dead and kill you again," Red tried to threaten him but it was more of a worried tone then threatening.
She swam to the shore and crawled out.

"Ha! Me, die? Gonna take more than a man with a grudge to do that." He waited until she struck out for the opposite shore before he looked the guy over. "So, you want to explain now why you want us--her--dead?"

"Its none of your buisness," he told Arien then looked over at Red an threw another blade at her.
Red barely dodged and wrapped her injury quickly. So she could get back to helping Arien.

Arien threw a throwing dagger at the man. Despite the water below him, his aim was accurate. "She's a friend, so it does matter." He readied another throwing dagger.

Red quickly grabbed her sword and made a wide circle around the pond and the stranger. She crept up behind him and tackled him from behind. Arien's throwing dagger just barely missing them both.
They wrestled on the ground and Red managed to pin him down and slam the hilt of her sword into his head. A blood trail went down the side of his head but he punched Red; making her fall to the side. He pinned her down by sitting on her back and putting his dagger to the back of her neck. Red hissed and squirmed a little. He brought his dagger down quickly on her injured arm, the dagger went straight through her arm and pinned it to the ground.
Red screamed for a second before shutting her mouth. Turning the sword around in her hand, she stabbed it through the strangers chest and right through his heart. He stood up and staggered backwards, shocked.

Arien scrambled out of the water and caught the man before he could fall. He was clearly going to die, but he had it coming. Arien lowered him to the ground, divesting him of any further weapons that he could find before cutting off several inches from his shirt.

He hurried over to Red, where he stared in dismay at the injury. "Hey, hey, he's dead; you can relax now."

Blood was already soaking the sleeve of her shirt and staining the grass. Red clenched her teeth and dug her nails into the grass. Her breath came in fast gasps, from the shock of the pain.
Nex kept the kitten; safe as much as he wanted to check on Red, he dared not disobey her last order.

"Alright, let's do first things first." He knelt beside her and tied the strip of fabric around her upper arm, tightening it into a tourniquet which would slow the blood flow. He then regarded the blade in her arm. There was no way around it; he'd have to remove it.

"Red? I'm gonna have to remove the blade from the ground." If he could keep it in her arm, that would be best--as its presence would stop blood flow until it was removed. He gritted his teeth as he swiftly accomplished that feat--and then got to work wrapping the remaining fabric around the wound.

Red yelped in pain and clenched her teeth harder.
"Just jerk it out Arien!" she snapped because she was in alot of pain.

"You'll bleed out if I do and I can't teleport again!" Arien replied sharply. "Nex! I need you to get a healer here promptly. Can you do that?"
