As the night drug on, Morgause now began to feel even more worried. Not only had Guinevere disappeared into the night, but now Merthyr had not returned from his search. Not wanting to see him harmed as well she ordered several knights and guards to ride out into the night and return him to the palace. Should he have also stirred up some trouble, she gave each man a roll of parchment with her seal on it and a demand he be released to her at once.
Josh sighed as he was given one of the scrolls bearing Morgause orders.
"Oh dear, seems that our fair damsel will have to wait till the prince is found, perhaps we can seek both of them?" Quizzed Josh unwilling to search the city when he had seen Amber's horse missing

She smirke and placed the candles down. She leaned against the wall of the cave and listened to the two. She hoped no one had noticed or been sent after her.
Nimueh made herself known to the magic wielders
"Camelot's cup is brimming, Mordred, delay not your return least you end up in the mines seeking him" warned Nimueh speaking about Merthyr turning her attention at Andrew.
"Your blizzard is to end at once... the kingdom has been punished enough" informed Nimueh

Taff couldn't help starting to get frustrated.
"If you don't release him soon, you know he will die of exposure," said Taff, more firmly, despite being able to hear his heart beating through his chest.
It was only when Nimueh mentioned him that he even remembered about Merthyr.
"As you wish," he replied, truthfully. He had no desire to end up travelling to the mines - or to displease Nimueh.
Turning to Andrew as well, he simply said, "We must be quick, then. I have matters to attend to." He waited for further directions from him, as he wasn't familiar with this spell.

She stood up and nodded. "I'm ready."
Andrew drew an incredibly complicated symbolic on the floor and then arranged the candles on to the respective points he then pulled out the frozen flame and set it in the middle of the circle thing. "Alright prick your finger and drop it onto the wick of the candle, then just let me say the chant." He pricked his finger and squeezed a little blood onto the wick of the candle, he then wiped the needle clean and disinfected it passing it on.
Mordred sheathed his sword, not having noticed Andrew had a needle before. Taking off one of his gauntlets, he pricked his finger and let a drop of blood fall onto the wick of the candle. He did the same as he saw Andrew do before passing it to Amber and replacing his gauntlet back onto his hand.
She took it and repeated the same thing and handed it back to Andrew. "What next?"
"I am here to ensure this eternal winter ends so you can count on me as well, young mage, I shall be your accolite and assistant on this occasion" smiled Nimueh willing to help Andrew in his spell in order to speed up the return of Mordred before Merthyr put himself in further trouble

She came closer to the group and followed the rest. She too provided droplets of fresh red blood, watching it mingle with the others and stood aside to let Andrew complete his spell successfully
Morgana had made her way to the markets going to buy flowers to braid a wreath when she stumbled upon Merthyr Tydfil locked up shivering at the stocks like a common criminal or misbehaving serf.
"When will you ever learn..." sighed the woman commanding the guards to release the prisoner into her custody till such time as sir Mordred demanded him back. She handed him a warmer jacket and attire, and paused briefly glancing at him. "Besides your release... anything else needed from me, dear?" Quizzed Morgana

"Yes, a safe passage to go seek my father and Camelot missing knights" asked Merthyr humbly, leaving pride aside as her was forced to be rescued and aided by a damsel this time round
"Very well, but you must also try to seek maid Guinevere on your journey or upon your return" accepted and bartered Morgana handing over the written parchment
"Guinevere?" asked Merthyr alarmed at the familiar name "She was...fine... at the ball..." tried to recall Merthyr
"She is missing and assumed dead, where I fear she is wounded, perhaps captured by mercians, do your best to have her found" asked Morgana.
Merthyr stared at her wide eyed, feeling guilty at his lack of care towards the now missing girl who was Lancelot's sibling. "I promise I will do my earnest..." swore Merthyr firmly glancing towards a very troubled and distressed Lancelot that did his best to keep his emotions in check, whilst looking for the young knight Morgause wanted summoned.
"Come on, Lancelot, knight or not, we've a damsel to rescue, a king and kidnapped knights to assist, no time to waste, go fetch Taff and meet me outside the gates, with or without written permission..." instructed Merthyr hurriedly
"What about the weapons? Surely we need weapons..." hesitated Lancelot certain they would face danger
"Well, if you don't have them... then steal them... er... borrow them... we shall return them later" advised Merthyr watching Lancelot nod and grin
"What a world we live in, a disavowed knight commanded by the future king to steal weapons from castle and furtively leave the fortified city without permission or clearance, goodness, talk about an upside down world when you're forced to steal from the royal armory to protect commoners..." muttered Lancelot but going off to do exactly as instructed
He ventured into the castle quickly seeking Taff, pausing as soon as he found the boy talking to a guard.
"Ahhh... Martin... queen Morgause needs you to go and find her youngest son, sir Gareth, and escort him to her presence" reported Lancelot sending the guard away to the task to he could speak with Taff in peace and secrecy

Once Lancelot was sure that Martin was well out of sight and hearing he turned to address Taff, sitting down by his side speaking comfortably and casually.
"Hard as it may seem to you... Taff... prince Merthyr commands that we steal swords, that we somehow sneak out of the city to go and venture out into the unknown to find my sister Guinevere" reported Lancelot in a low voice
"Not sure how we can pull this one off, leaving the fortress unauthorized and unseen is quite a challenge but I am certainly try" murmured "This request comes from the Lady Morgana for my sister's benefit" whispered Lancelot

Not far from where stood the trio of Morgana, Merthyr, and Lancelot. Why there stood a figure, who wore a heavy hood alongside their heavy heart. They had just left a gift for the prince in the nearby square that they hopped peaked his interest. For he will need it one day. The hooded figure then moved quickly to disappear into the shadows.
A stirr came amongst the crowd in the market, whispered voices speaking of the presence of a strangely placed weapon.
A crowd slowly forming away from the stalls and twords the square.

Josh waited impatiently for Crow to finally wave him out of that castle that felt a jail rather than a fortress
"Oh in this terrible weather, my fair damsel may well have let out her final breath, the icy wind is brutal" half complained Josh, carrying Camelot's banner as all knights of the realm were expected to do.
"What if we find mercians or what if the mercians have got her first? Will you rescue her?" quizzed Josh concerned the thought just now crossing his mind

Andrew looked at the candle and chanted something in an ancient and non translatable language then he lit his candle and the entire circle started to glow faintly. "Quickly all of you light your candles and then I can finish the spell."
"Forbearnan" spoke up Nimueh lighting all the candles at once and brightly at that, a wide smile drawn upon her lips amused as she examined the youth who had cast a spell to freeze a dragon's breath and conjured strong winter spell yet expected each candle to be somehow lit up, this being of the more basic spells wizards mastered.
She was curious enough and would question the boy, perhaps keep tabs on him to consider schooling him some spells, for mere survival, summoning fire being one of those core ones.
Morgana came to seek Morgause, tormented by many nightmares the presence of the sword making her uneasy yet she failed to see the cause or reason for it.
Gawain, now that he had recovered from the ordeal, knew better than to touch the cup that rested in Morgause chambers and beheld the fate of Camelot. He had learned not to touch amulets or objects that could possibly be enchanted without asking a sorcerer first.
"Mother... my queen... a strange sword has somehow appeared embedded in a rock, right in the middle of the townsquare. Have you any awareness of it?" asked Gawain
"Some of the strongest knights are doing their earnest to remove it but it won't budge" muttered Gawain pointing at the curious crowd that was gathering there

As the queen had spent the majority of her time sulking in the throne room. She was at first infuriated that one would dare barg in unannounced, even her own son.
Though upon hearing his words, she couldn't contain herself as she bursted into an uproar of laughter.
"So there's a sword in the stone you say? Why it appears our dear lady has at last decided to greet the mortal world."
She coughed put between fits of laughter, seeming genuinely happy.

Morgana and Gawaine gazed at each other somewhat confused.
"What dear lady? There have been no new arrivals announced at all" asked Morgana puzzled and curious, not aware they had any visitors to expect
"And what of the sword itself? Is it dangerous to touch? I am certainly not crippling myself to bordering death with yet another enchanted item" asked Gawaine focusing onto the reported finding

The blizzard then seemed to react to the spell, beginning to wane in strength. Dissipating surprisingly quickly, all that remained now was the snow that had already formed. The air was still crisp and cold, but the weather seemed to finally return to how it had been before the sudden change.
Mordred, seeing this, nodded politely to the three others, before hastily making his way back to the city. He took a detour from where he had come looking for Andrew, figuring that it would take much longer to return to the castle and then go to the city. It was a few hours when he finally arrived, making his way to the stocks.
The snow and ice that had formed was beginning to melt when he spotted Merthyr in the stocks. Seeing Captain Martin passing him, Mordred stopped him.
"I've come to order Merthyr's release," he said.
Taff nodded, not batting an eyelash. "Seems like a distraction could be helpful.. I'm not sure where we could get the swords, though." Suddenly the blizzard started to dissipate, the snow slowing to a stop. He glanced up briefly, wondering at the suddenness of it.
Quickly, he looked back at Lancelot. "Lancelot, I was supposed to tell you much, much earlier. I'm sorry," he said, quieter even than his previous whispers. "I know she's still alive. We can find her, and we will." This he said much more firmly, promising himself that if nothing else he would do this for his friend.

((OOC: Sorry thing have been so slow from me; I'm a bit of a mess right now. I'll try and speed things up, and also keep my characters more, uh, in character.))
She smirked as the blizzard dissipated and she walked outside. "Snow is beautiful, but not in a blizzard." She mumbled as she held tight to her horses reins and walked towards the town.
"Unfortunately Morgana, I'm not in the best position to tell you without sounding completely mad. As for the sword however, I can attest to the fact that that blade is indeed a powerful and enchanted item. In fact I'd say it is of great importance to the future of Camelot, but currently is of no use."
Morgause began, a slight smile gracing her lips. Brushing some hair from her eyes she gazed at the sword, almost as if admiring it.
"Even if you could move it, it needs to be in plain sight. City square isn't an ideal spot, but with how blind we all are some times I suppose being straightforward is all she can be at this point."
