So "The Chair" is "Der Stoel", because chair is masculine. "The mail" is "Die Post", because mail is feminine etc.

Err. Stuhl. Stoel is Dutch...

The same crap is with French. BUt I hate French. I grew up with German so I know most noun genders by heart.

I wanted to learn French, but my parents were all "Lolno you'll have no one to practice with. Learn Spanish".

The ultimate irony now-a-days is that I have French speaking characters, but I don't know French.

That's funny. I hate French. My high school teacher was terrible.

He was just not a fun teacher.

But most languages come easy to me these days. I grew up with 3 languages and taught myself English when I was 12. By 14 I was correcting my teachers in school.

Yeah, that's really impressive. I don't retain language easily at all. Except for english, of course.

What Kim said. Spanish was also the only class my older brother had to have a tutor in, and he's a smart dude.
