Due to the fact that I got my research paper done sooner than I thought, I was able to dedicate most of yesterday and some of today to writing in my NaNoWriMo novel, which I have been trying to keep up with despite the struggles of school.
Today, I have hit a wonderful goal in my life.
I WON NANOWRIMO 2012!!!
I'm especially excited about this because, in the beginning of the month, my father discouraged me from attempting NaNoWriMo because 'I wouldn't be able to keep up with it during college'. So...HAH! I love my dad, BUT IN YO FACE, DUDE! I am so proud of the fact that I was able to pass the goal despite all the business of my first semester of college!!

When I told my mother-in-law I was going to do it, she told me that I should wait until I'm done university. I kept up with my studies, aced a math test and finished in nine days - I think I proved her wrong. It felt really good to be able to do something that someone said I couldn't, so I totally know how you feel.
I hope I have a naysayer every year!
