Hunter let the girl change the subject, it looked touchy for her as it was. "I had a great one, family, friends, school, it was all good. That's why I joined these guys, not because it was bad, but because it was good. I want to keep it that way for my kids and all the others."

Rae nodded her head, sighing. If Hunter hadn't been a hunter, she might have liked him better. She looked at him and walked away. " I'm going to see Isobel, you want to come? " She walked towards Isobel's room.

Hunter raised an arm with an tube in it. "I'll catch up in a bit." When she left he laid back in his bed and drowned himself in thought.

Rae nodded her head and ran her hand through her strawberry blonde hair. She was thinking about what her future would be like. What if Rae just left them both? Or what if the feelings for this guy grew? She couldn't possibly think what her parents would have thought. She stopped near Isobel's door, listening.

[ Hey guys are we still doing this? ]

Isobel mumbled and shifted in her sleep before sitting up and yawning. She felt like she was waiting for something, but didn't know what. She heard footsteps that stopped outside her door. "Hunter?" She called out to the person just outside. She didn't know Rae had come back.

Rae heard her and opened the door. She shock her head, " No it's just little old Rae. Hunter might come in later. " She walked towards her and smiled. " How are you feeling? " Her emerald eyes did not directly look at her, they looked off.

Isobel shook off the last of the grasping tendrils of drowsiness trying to take her back to sleep. She didn't know what to make of hearing Rae again so soon, but she didn't even try to fight the smile that found itself on her face. "Better now...wait, you saw Hunter before me?" She asked with mock hurt. Isobel was afraid she didn't pull it off very well though, as the smile refused to stay off her face for long.

Rae sat down in a chair and sighed. " See... Er.. Yes. I mean I would have come here first but you were asleep. I kinda just bumped into him. You know I like you much better then a human.. I mean, it would stupid of me to be friends with him. " She said, looking off. She snapped back to her senses and held her hand out. " don't hurt yourself anymore. "

Isobel bit her lip to keep from giggling at Rae's flustered ramblings. "It's ok, I'm just giving you hell." She took the hand that Rae outstretched, and her bubbly mood sobered. "I'll try not to, but hurt seems to track me down like a bloodhound."

Rae gave a small smile, " You mean hell hound. " She ran her other hand through her hair and sighed. She had to much to think about. She had to think about her life and what was going to happen after this. " Isobel, what's gonna happen after all this happens. "

Isobel breathed in deep and exhaled a long sigh. She was about as clueless about the future as Rae was. "I have no idea. Before, I would've been long gone, halfway across the world maybe, but now..." She trailed off and frowned slightly. "Now, it gets a little harder to think of myself just getting up and leaving on my own. Strange, huh?"

Rae sighed again and ran her hand through her hand. " That's not strange at all. That's actually how I'm feeling. If I wasn't here I'd probably in another wolves territory getting chased out. " She gave a small smile and leaned back in her chair. " I guess that's what us rogues do. "

She grinned. "I like the sound of that; rogue Rae and rogue Isobel. Kinda makes us sound like pirates." She lifted her hand to the bandages around her eyes. "Well, I have the eye patches." She said with a halfhearted smile. She was running low actually. Her last roll was almost gone. Isobel made a mental note to try and get a new roll next time she went out into the hospital.

Rae smiled and gave a slight laugh. She was happy to finally see Isobel again. The thought of losing her and Hunter haunted her. She had grown so attached to them, she was actually afraid. She looked at her and gave a slight smile. " Do you need anything? "

As Hunter laid in the room, a visitor came to see him. It was Alyssa, returning after taking care of personal things from the fight. Hunter was still in the hospital, and it really worried her. As he slept, she pulled up a chair next to the bed and brushed the back of her hand over his cheek.

"Hunter," she said softly, "Hunter wake up." When he didn't wake up immediately Alyssa stood up, placed her hands on his shoulders, and gently shook him. This woke him up.

"W-wha?" He wasn't all to sure what was going up, he had just been woken up in mid-sleep.

She looked down at him as she sat and smiled. "Hi." Hunter smiled back.

"Hi."

Rae looked around in the room she was in. She could hear the world around her and she looked out the door at an unfamiliar sound. She looked at Isobel and stood up. " Isobel, I'm gonna go check something. When you can, come and go outside into the hallway. " She turned quickly and opened the door. She looked through the door window and saw Hunter and Alyssa. A small growl escaped her throat and it was easy for the people in the room to hear. She finally realized, she had no purpose to be here. They were hunters for crying out loud!

Rae turned and her emerald eyes darted back and forth. She walked into her room and grabbed a bag. She stuffed anything of hers into the bag and sat on the hospital bed. She stared off and put her head in her hands. " I have no idea why I am here... "

Isobel followed Rae out the door close behind her. It sounded like Hunter's voice, still groggy from sleep and someone else's, a woman's. They were muffled through the wall and she couldn't really make out what they were saying. From the sound of Rae's growl though, it must have been enough to upset her.

She reached out to Rae as she started packing her things. "What happened?" It really could have been anything, but Isobel couldn't exactly see for herself.

They both looked up as a noise went through the room. "What was that?" asked Alyssa. "It sounded like a growl."

"A growl?!" Hunter sat up quickly.

"What?"

Hunter got out of the bed and cautiously worked his way to the door, he didn't have a bunch of strength at the moment.

"Hunter what are you doing?!" He just waved her away as he reached the door.
