He figured that the other humanoids of the world would never understand races the way humans can understand them. Despite having a lack of natural killing potential, there was a reaso why han dominated the world. Man was un matched by its mind. Not necessarily brains, but it's ability to think and persevere. The race of man was a strong willed one that is as strong as it is because it is able to understand others, even others of their own kind. Humans are the most diverse race yet somehow many are able to understand each other.
This is what was going through Hunter's head as he meandered through the forest. He recalled that some of the most notoriously un accepting people, such as Hitler and Mau, were supernatural creatures. Try were incapable of accepting something and attempted to destroy it, Hitlerte Jews, and Mau the history and Traditions of China.

Isobel heard a twig somewhere behind them and turned to face it. With one of her hands, she she searched the area around her for a good-sized rock. There were several small ones, and she held up her hand when she found what she'd been looking for. It was about the size of a football and smooth. "Hunter?" That's who she hoped it was, but it could always be someone, or something else.

Rae listened to the sounds of foot steps. She turned into a wolf and darted off. Her legs carried her into a bush until she fell. " Stupid legs. " She breathed and looked through the forest. The sound and that stench, she knew it was Hunter. Her paws unsheathed, then sheathed. She wouldn't even try to attack just to make sure. Even though he was hurt, he could probably still fight. To be exact, she could barely stand, how could she fight?

"Hunter isn't here right now, please leave a messege after the tone." He emerged from the bushes. "Beep." He looked around as he came into the clearing and waved at the wolf as she growled at him. He didn't really care right now. "Alright girls, let's get back inside. They just need to do a little bit more and I'll see if they can set you up outdoors for the time we are here." he waved them over, beckoning them to come back to the rooms.
Rae growled again, staying where she was. Her emerald eyes looked at Hunter. He just wanted to go back to that human place. She dug her claws into the ground, lowering her head. She hadn't any tools humans used, it was stupid. " I don't want to go back. "
Isobel felt torn. Being around humans that reminded her so much of her past would be hell. As would being stuck inside, if Hunter couldn't pull strings to get them outside. It would be so much easier to just stay out here like Rae wanted to. But she remembered all those people she'd healed in the hospital. The man whose sight she gave back. There was only a fraction of the patients that she'd been able to heal fully, others had been bad too. She just didn't have enough energy for them all in one day.
Then there was Hunter. Without him, she never would've even thought about staying one more day at a hospital, even if the circumstances were the same as now. He gave Isobel a feeling of safety, that everything would be alright. Just like Rae did. Isobel stood up, not moving towards one or the other. She faced Rae's direction. "They only want to help us. I know you could probably heal yourself with auras, but me.." She motioned to her broken wing in the sling. "I can't heal myself, but I can heal others, like the ones in the hospital."

Hunter's right hand was pressed agains his bandages, his left hand was at his side. He brought them both up slightly in a small motion of talking with his hands as he said, "Don't be so selfish. You are giving these people trouble for doing nothin more than trying to heal you." He shook his head. "Come on, let's go."
Rae snarled, she began to get angry at Hunter. She blocked him out, listening to Isobel. " I've been hurt by humans, all they do is try and kill you! That's how all this happened. I was sent to a 'hospital' cause I was hurt. They helped me, then tested on me! Do you think I'm really gonna fall for it again? I'm not a stupid little wolf girl. I'm not a stupid little cupcake. " She growled at Hunter. She understand why Isobel had to go back, but why did she?
Isobel shook her head. "I'd never let that happen to anyone. Not as long as I knew about it. If that ever happened to you, I'd tear down the building brick by brick." She doubted this hospital was like that, but if it turned out that way, she wouldn't go back on her word. No one should have to go through what she did, but even now, there were kids being taken for being "different."
Hunter turned to leave, took a few steps, then turned back again. He waved his hand at them to follow along.
Isobel waited to see if Rae would come. She knew that she had to go back herself, to let herself heal and to heal others. They could hardly force Rae to go with them, she was as wild as the wolf she could change into. She would be sorely missed if she left though, and Isobel selfishly wished that she wouldn't leave. She moved to follow Hunter back to the hospital.
Rae stared at them, turning her back to Isobel and Hunter. She felt so betrayed and lost. How could they just leave? Rae's emerald eyes looked at Hunter. She was stupid about thinking he'd stay. She began to walk down the trail towards the stream again. Her white tail flicking at the annoying insects. I've had better days. She thought.
Hunter's jaw dropped ever so slightly and only fora second. "Where are you going?" His fists clenched. "Fine! Leave. After everything I've. Done for you just get up and go." He too felt betrayed. "I spared and then saved your life! I guess I won't be around for that next time." Then he turned and left, very angry. "I got a promotion," he yelled over his shoulder, "I could have helped you with your back too. Good luck with a failing spine. The gate is north." By the end he disappeared into the distance.

Now you're losing blood and you need to walk all threat back. You just bought yourself another day at least in the hospital! You knew this could make you miss Mark's funeral yet you still went. Rae heard his words, she was not surprise. In her mind, she thought he would have tried to kill her. Pain still traveled down her back and she walked. She just ruined two friendships, if they meet again, they'd probably be enemies. She looked over her shoulder, staring at where the two had left each other. She was so soft to a human, she was pathetic.

Isobel waved sadly at Rae but she was already gone. She hoped they'd see each other again soon, Rae had been her first friend since she'd escaped the lab. Hunter seemed troubled with his thoughts so Isobel stayed quiet. She lifted a hand to his shoulder, partially in comfort, partially to close up the wounds he'd opened up while frantically searching for Rae. That took the last of her energy and she just wanted to lay down and go to sleep.
Hunter shrugged off Isobel's hand before she could do anything. "Heal yourself," he said in a gruff voice. He would be fine once he got there, the blood on his hands would wash off too. He didn't run though, and was alot slower than Rae. The nurses would find her before they ever did.
Isobel thought for a moment. Hunter probably hadn't been there when she'd explained her healing to Rae. "I can't heal myself, only others." She'd surprised herself in almost expecting him to know that already. It was hard to remember what she had or hadn't told him about her powers.
Hunter shrugged as he kept walking. "I'll take something human, because while you can't stand to be helped by helpers and have things done right. I can." He walked farther ahead of her. "I still have shrapnel in me, heal me now and they'll have a hard time getting the little bits out."
Isobel didn't attempt keep up. She was already bleeding from her leg. Normally, she would've lashed back at Hunter, but she didn't want to lose another friend so soon. She figured he was probably hurt from Rae leaving, just like she was and Isobel couldn't blame him for that.
Rae stood up, running away. She jumped into a bush, her emerald eyes staring at the door. Two nurses came out and looked around. She held her breathe, afraid they would hear. The two left, walking into the building. Rae turned to look at the trails. Don't do it. Don't go back. Hunter already hates you, so much for thinking. Isobel, well who knows if she wants to ever be my friend. Screw friends, all they do is leave you. Or you end up leaving them.
