Greetings! I am some dude going by Uiop, since I decided to use that as a username over a decade ago and it's grown onto me, like mold!
I've been RPing for a long time and have been wanting to try out some forum-based RPs.
I usually play in group RPs, and RP a couple of characters in em, but I can very much stick with one character.
I tend to go more along the lines of humor whenever I RP. That doesn't necessarily mean every single sentence is a joke but; you can expect at least one running gag per character.
While I've gone on for long enough about myself, I'm going to say another thing. Due to the overwhelming prevalence of it I feel obligated to point out that I am not a fan of RPing romance. I'm fine with others RPing their own romance(s) in the same RP I'm in, but it's just not my thing. I wouldn't be one to RP it myself and I'd probably get bored out of the RP when there's just romance and nothing else everywhere.
Otherwise I'm probably on board with just about anything that would seem fun.
But enough about me, you came here and took the time to read all of this. Who are you?

I'm quite glad to see that I'm not the only one who's not here for the romance. I was a bit worried when I saw the sheer amount of romance focused RPs. Good thing I decided to take a shot at being here anyways!

Honestly? I'm on board with almost anything as long as it seems fun. While I find many things I RP in tend to have multiple genres, such as a Fantasy Western or use of Sufficiently Advanced Magic in a fantasy setting, that's not really a big deal. Usually anything with a fun group of RPers and some balanced amounts of humour and action is fine in my book.

Hey, humor is always a good addition to any roleplay! I'm really bad at it, though. And there's a lot of people here who don't roleplay romance, so you're sure to find a good match!

Seems like you're going to be a good member of this little group of misfits. I definitely can appreciate the lack of heavy enjoyment in romance, I too, can find it rather boring if there's no additional larger plot elements. Fortunately all of my partners have never failed to make me go "wowza!"

I like a few jokes in my roleplays too! And while I do like jokes, I do roleplay romance from time to time, but that's not what it's all about. I like a good plot, with a small slowburn romance on the side.
Most of the time I mainly roleplay fantasy, action, and adventure.
Group roleplays are something I'm not very good at. I'm more of a one on one roleplay, three people at most. I'm not very good at the untidy reply order. I get stressed. But anyways, I'm glad to see you here. I hope you have fun!
