A good idea would be to add an icon above things you can slap with the pick

how do I eat food?

It will play a musical note instead of the rock smacking noise if your tool isn't strong enough

Put the food in your hotbar, select the food, then click!

I'm gonna go hunt for more seeds. They spawn randomly in the forest OR you can buy some with gold.
