Bosses usually have really high crit modifiers. This one gets a crit if it rolls from 18-20.
(The previous one was 17-20, which was absurd.)
He is lookin' rough!
18-20 is fair enough, that's like D&D rapier and feels fair for a scary boss that can just smoosh ya.
It... just seems to roll real well against me. LOT of 18s to 19s.
Makes it exciting though, so not a real problem. ^v^

Yeah, it gets like that.

Mathematically, it makes sense. It goes from a normal monster having a one in twenty ratio to this'un having about a one in six. Maybe one in seven.
Somewhere in that range, yeah. I've been seeing more like one in three, I think, but this health cycle (yayyy healing itmes!!!) it whiffed a bunch, so things are in balance again probably.
I... also whiffed a bunch, but sshh.

Hahah, that doesn't help.
Less than 2000 now
I am the bird of inaccurate shooting and stabbing!
The classic refrain. "I get knocked down, but I get up again - I get knocked down".
And at some point we gotta clean off life support so that we can get Spiky solved, too.

RPR boss fights are very "Burn the boss, don't worry about the adds"
We all get too distracted to fight any frickin' thing else

TBF he is VERY large.
He is!
Also I think part of it is that bosses don't come back like the rest.
Hopefully.
Oh gosh I hope that doesn't become an idea.

And we didn't have much in the way of answers to try before, anyway

If they regen'd fully every round we'd be hooped
Without some kinda deus-ex-RPR
