I'm not familiar with a lot of the TTRPG systems. But I've read a lot of D&D- I love the older D&D books, the art etc. The World of Darkness, Pathfinder, Traveller, BattleTech but haven't actually played many TTRPGs myself!

I think with that on the menu, finding a RP partner might not be the most difficult.
Best thing is to browse the RP proposals and/or ask if you see an interesting character
