Worse: And they've fallen in love with the school jock who likes to steal from you after school, thus cementing you into the friendzone.

Good:

You just spent the past three hours on a quest for a rare item in a game where grinding is the only way to success. And you just found it. It has the highest stats in the game by every standpoint, and obliterates enemies in one shot e-v-e-r-y s-i-n-g-l-e t-i-m-e.

Bad: its shaped like a fluffy rabbit

Worse: The game is shut down the next day.

Good: You found a wallet filled with money on a sidewalk.

Bad:

It was a bait wallet.

Worse: The baiter is a Gelatinous Cube.

Good: You finally finished all of your OC profiles, and your profiles are presentable enough to show to others!

Bad: You realize months later that they are filled with small but noticeable typos

Worse: You have brand new ideas for your OCs, thus requiring you to delete all that work and rewrite/retool everything in your profiles all over again.

Good:

You have discovered an unexplored, ancient ruin said to be filled with treasures.

Bad: guess who else found it? Your sworn enemy.

Worse: they've already claimed most of it so youre left with alot of broken pottery and an old moldy robe

Good: someone drew your character beautifully for free!

Bad: You thought it was free but turns out it's not.

Worse: you can't afford it...

Good: You just came up with an idea for an amazing new character!

Bad: You're out of character slots.

Worse: You realize it's just like all of your other characters.

Good: you just hatched a dragon egg!
