Bad: The line is too long for you to get a signature.

Worse: And the author will only sign for the first one hundred people. You are number one hundred and one, so they refuse to sign your book.

Good: Your favourite restaurant has a half price sale!

Bad: They trick you by giving you less than the usual food on your plate, because it's so busy due to the sale.

Worse: You find a human finger.

Good: Your boss let you leave work early because business was slow.

Bad: You're told that they'll call when they need you...

Worse: They don't call you back

Good: "You get to play in the snow."

Bad: "But no throwing snowballs."

Worse: everyone else is throwing snowballs.

Good: You just won a cruise to the vacation spot of your dreams!

Bad Just hours after departing, you're hit with a sudden illness.

Worse: It's fatal and you're contagious.

Good: You obtain the skills of your favourite musician/artist!
