Pronouns and (Anti) Glitter Bombs

Good morning RPR friends! I have two new settings for you today.

Setting the First: Pronouns

You can now specify which pronouns you want Server to use for you! This is most obvious during Epic Week, but also comes up occasionally in some kudos prompts or accolade text. Head over to your General Settings to specify your most preferred pronouns.

If you don't specify a specific pronoun you want used, Server will continue to do his best to guess for you based on the gender you have displayed on your profile. But, having "best guess" as the sole method for pronouns was clearly out of date.

Edit: On this one, I chose speed over total completeness. If there's a pronoun set you want to use that you don't see there, please DM me so I can add it to my development list.

Setting the Second: Decline Glitter Bombs, Fireworks, and Other Throwables

I've had a few requests from users with vision difficulties ask to be able to not accept glitter bombs et. al -- for example, migraine sufferers who found all the color and motion difficult on high pain days, or users who are legally blind and don't want their friends wasting items on them that they can't see.

You can change whether or not you allow throwables to be thrown at you on that very same General Settings page - just scroll down to the Display Settings.

Love the pronoun thing. I get most people might shrug it off, but an inclusive setting like that is rare to find, and very fitting for RPR as I've come to know it. Thanks Kim!

You all are so so amazing and considerate! As a person who falls into the they/them pronoun category, I really do feel the love and acceptance. I am so numb and used to having my bio sex thrown at me (I work retail and my androgyny isn't perfected), so it's nice to find a little space where people actually care. Thank you.

The option to opt out of fireworks and glitter bombs is also wonderful-- I can imagine something like fireworks being troubling for those with vision problems or light sensitivities. It could be anxiety inducing, in fact, and that defeats the purpose of this place!

I am so happy to have the wonderful diversity we have. It's touching that you stop long enough to think about everyone. These options won't affect the gross majority of us, but you're doing it anyway! Bravo!

This site is sooo amazing, I can't :'( ... People are nice and respectful, and the admin is very tolerant and even thinks about people with disabilities and such details as pronouns... I need to find one day a way to show my fascination with this site...
The anti-glitter update is so cute and useful, thank you so much for listening to the users! The pronouns are an amazing, fun detail!
