Arien felt the blast of cool air as the tigers opened the door and he grinned over at them. If tigers could look surprised, they were doing a remarkable impression.
"You wanna shut the door, maybe?" Arien asked as Bella yawned and woke up with a stretch. "I should start up the fire at least." But it was hard to move when Red was lying warmly next to him.

Red looked over at the door and smiled a little as the tigers froze. She almost protested when Arien said he should start the fire but she knew the tigers would be freezing.
"Oh..ok," she murmured.
Red started to get up and felt a little dissapointment that the tigers burst in when they did.
Neo shut the door so not to let the cold in.

Arien sighed and then moved to tend the ashes. A few of the embers were still warm, but there wasn't enough to stoke up a fire. He went to his pack and retrieved a piece of flint. A dagger in one of his boots provided the steel, and within a minute he had a decent fire going again. It would still take a few minutes before the house heated up, but it was enough at the moment.
"What do we want for breakfast?" he asked, looking at the tigers, then Bella, then Red.

Red smiled as she watched him then she got up and already disappeared into the kitchen.
"Hmm.. How bout.." she said talking to herself but never finishing her thoughts.
Going to a cabinet she took out a few bowls and poured milk into a small one for Patch.
"Breakfast.. What should i make?" she asked herself.

"Something edible," muttered Arien before he could help it. He clapped a hand over his mouth, hoping Red hadn't caught that comment. Not that it had been directed at her anyway...
"Uh, porridge? Bacon and eggs? Steak?" He threw out suggestions not knowing if she even had the supplies to make the things he suggested. "Toast?"
On the road they tended to eat anything that didn't take a lot of time to prepare. Recalling his offer for Red to join him, he could have smacked himself. Did she even know the first thing about traveling or camping? Not that he would mind teaching her--quite the opposite--but it would be work.

Red caught Arien's comment about something edible and she scowled.
"Last time i made food im pretty sure it was edible," she snapped at him.
Red growled and walked into her room. Make your own damn food then. she thought angrily.
Nex looked up at Arien.Nice going. But then again cold weather makes short tempers. You should apologize before you two lovebirds go traveling. he thought to Arien.

Arien glared at the tiger. "And taking advice from a tiger is supposed to help?" Still he knew the tiger was right. He sighed, and the morning had started off so nice...
He went into the kitchen and began to sort through the cupboards. Bread would be a start. So would cheese and some fruit. He'd turned into a forager when he wasn't looking. Or perhaps 'domesticated' was the term. But he didn't mind it.
He found a piece of paper and scrawled a note on it before placing it on the the food. "Yo, Nex, c'mere for a moment?"

Nex sighed then huffed as he got to his feet. Walking over to Arien he flicked his ears and looked up at Arien expectantly.
Red sat on her bed then layed down and curled up. I wish i hadnt snapped at him like that..but he shouldnt say stuff like that. she thought. Sighing heavily she looked up at the ceiling and she could still feel Ariens arms around her, she smiled.

Arien hesitated then shrugged. "You think you could deliver this plate to Red without dropping it or running into doorways?" Or eating it? he kept to himself.
Nex took the plate and easily carried it into Red's room. He set it on the edge of her bed then purred and licked her hand. Red looked over at him and smiled.
"Thanks," she whispered.
When Nex had left she sat up and looked at the note. Curious she opened the note.

The note was scrawled in Arien's careful handwriting. "I'm sorry. Please forgive me?"
Arien remained in the kitchen, listening for a crash or some other sound to indicate disaster had fallen his attempt to make up with Red. After all, it wasn't Arien's style not to do something elaborate. Heck, he'd even arranged the food into a heart-shape...

Red smiled and looked at the food.
"Of course i do and this plate looks great," she said more to herself than anyone.
Before she ate she got up and walked into the kitchen. She walked right up to Arien and kissed him deeply.
"'course i do," she whispered.

Arien flushed when Red came in to kiss him and he stammered some sort of reply. "I-It's just that..." he looked down, seemingly embarrassed. "I tend to speak without, er, thinking."
Of course, it could be reasoned that he put all his energy into thinking up elaborate set-ups such as what he'd just pulled as opposed to keeping his tongue in check. That, and he couldn't let a good sarcastic comment remain unsaid. It got him into more trouble than he might otherwise have been in. "Did you like the breakfast? I'm assuming Nex didn't eat it..."

Red laughed softly when she saw Arien flush.
"Actually i thought the breakfast was in the cutest shape and i just had to come and tell you i forgive you. So i have yet to taste the breakfast. But i know it'll be good," she said softly then turned and walked back to her room.
Sitting down she ate the breakfast and thought it was amazing, setting the plate on the grpund when she was done.

Arien's face lit up with pleasure at her comment. She had liked it? And it hadn't fallen to pieces? "Ha! Yes!" he punched his fist-pumped the air once she had gone, and then devoured his own portion of breakfast--which wasn't shaped like a heart.
When he had finished, he wandered back to Red's room. "Done already?" he commented, seeing the empty plate.

"Mhm. It was really good Arien. Thank you," she commented and smiled.
Neo walked by and pushed Arien into her room before walking away.Just go in already we all know you want to be with her before we go. Neo sent the thought to Arien and snickered.

If he'd had a spare piece of breakfast close to hand, Arien would have thrown it at the tiger. Instead, he stumbled forward, catching his balance against the bed.
"Gee, Neo; if I was as subtle as you..." he made a face--not daring to elaborate further. But since he was in the room, he bent to grab the plate. "I'm glad you enjoyed it, Red."

Red watched Arien stumble and she almost got out of bed to catch him but he caught himself before she could.
"Your welcome. Hows your ankle feeling?" she asked and scooted closer to the edge of the bed.
Training was something Red desperatly needed to do but she was enjoying her time with Arien. So she put it off for another time.

Arien smiled and gently flexed his ankle. "It feels much better. Usually, it'd be stiff and really sore by now." It was still a little stiff and sore, but nothing nearly what it had been in the past. Of course, it also could have been from stirring up an old injury that had happened in his youth when he'd been testing snares...
Recalling the few weapons that were littered around the room, he offered a half-grin. "When do you usually train?"

Red looked at him surprised then smirked.
"Mid-day. Care to join me?" she said in a slightly cocky tone.
Red thought about it and decided it would be fun to beat Arien in a training session.
