They don't need to know you're involved, Lisa. :3

It's not as if I tell her to go out in the middle of the night and frighten people. :/

But do they need to know she's yours?

No...but they know anyways.
Hello guys I thought that maybe Liliath would die in this rp? Getting killed? And then she comes back as a ghost thing
DazzlingDragon Topic Starter

We can't really have ghosts in this role play. If she dies, she's just...dead.

Wait, Victi has kind of a thing going where you could have a couple rounds as a spirit, but it'd be her job as a Valkryie temporarily overriding her imprisonment because...I'll let Avi explain, but I'm very on the fence about allowing anything like that, too.

Even if that's allowed, her job would be to take Liliath's soul away somewhere. She wouldn't be able to stay in the place.

Okay.
Okay, here we go:

Victi spent a few decades training as a Valkyrie after a messy break-up which lasted about 30 years. They're back together now.

Anyway, the important part is that, while she ran away from the sisterhood after stealing her boyfriend's soul, she has not been decommissioned. This means she can still be forced to do her job.

What THAT means is this: If someone dies in combat fighting bravely, she could be asked to escort them to their afterlife, She would be yanked out of the encounter to speak with and comfort the spirit of the dead warrior, before guiding them across into the divine realms and whatever afterlife they've earned and desire.

Mechanically, this means that, if Dazz lets this happen, Upon Liliath dying in battle, Victi would be yanked from the situation (probably bad for everyone else) and would be interacting with Liliath for a while before carrying the girl to her new home. If people wanted to see sad cute dead-times talk, we could do it here, or we'd do it in PMs if nobody was really interested.

I.... think that about sums it up. Oh, Victi may get to heal at least partially, and/or come back with something pointy, at Dazz's discretion.

We could also have sad dead-times talk toward the conclusion of the roleplay, too, if you guys are gonna be patient and stick around to the end of the story. (Yes, I'm actually thinking about how to finish this. I am a GM determined not to disappoint!)

To allow the Valkryie mechanic as it stands now, I need a way to justify it without setting some potentially game-breaking precedent. I haven't thought of one yet and I'm not sure if I will, so we'll see.

But in the meantime, Vincent's pretty much always 100% happy to murder another character, so hit me up if you choose to kill her.

I will stay to the end, because that's how I do for sure.

It would be explicit divine interference, and we could even do a thing with the place becoming.... irritable with at least one of the involved gods. It could be locked into a one-time deal, and also my plan is mostly meant to yoink Victi out of a situation where it would be good to have her. (giggles). It's not a kindness. It's a cruelty. :3

You want to know what else would be a cruelty?

Trapping a god in the place. Those beings are almost all mystical power and eldritch magic and it's either a terrible or excellent idea to try taking that away, probably depending on what kind of god it is.

I mean, the place usually snatches prey randomly, but if its powerful enough to snatch a god-level character and that said character annoys the heck out of it, well...
...... I may have been tempted to have Cryu engineer a way to get an Aspect (an instance of herself, more or less) in if Victi got killed and the place refused to give her the soul back. Victi's soul belongs to her. She bout Victi's debt from stealing Ni's soul. In case you ever wondered why they work for her. :3
Especially if it thought it was out-thinking the Crystal Wyrm, that would be funny, and a terrible idea on its part. It got ONE pentatheic warrior trapped in there already. That's bad-ish for it. With one of her aspects..... Cryu's bodies are.... solidly above average in most things, but the bigger issue is that you've brought in something that doesn't actually help Vincent as much as some of his other form options, and has something like 10^150 odd years of life experience and skill to play against you. She doesn't just know every trick in the book. She wrote it.

Possibly too much of a problem.
DazzlingDragon Topic Starter

Probably.

I would try out one of the "divinities" I'm working on, but they're technically dead and significantly less interested in/capable of screwing around with a place outside of Zeagni.
I guess I could find out if there would be any restrictions on Cryu's actions, if we really want to mess with gods.

Or we could... not

So the person I made us wait on has not messaged me back for several days, so we're going to continue after I'm completely out of school tonight. The person in question is the guy playing Masato, who's unconscious on the police station floor; we're going to act like he's still there and alive for now.
