He stood straight up, "let's just do a practice round", he said

Ok", tobi said as the guardians appeared holding mana swords. They both ran at him and slashed his at him from below

He blocked the strike with the sword and held it up

" A mach fight with his guardians. This shall be fun to watch" She studied weapon and movements alike. With the exception of herself, such a fighting style had been forgotten.

He lost already", tobi said, "there's about no way to get:..", before she could finish he used the sword to slide the guardians to the left and slashed them causing them to dispatch

Ok nest", tobi said as earth ghouls formed, 20, holding swords. They were around his size and all charge at him

" Seems you underestimated him" She said with a smirk. When the Gould appeared, she focused on them. A most unusual creature that even she hadn't seen. " So many...what are they?"

Earth puppets", tobi said

The puppets swing at him but he blocked and kicked some to eachother. Some tried to stab he from both sides but he jumped ontop the swords and sliced their heads off

" Fascinating..." She mumbled while watching. Blood puppets were one thing but earth? Certain Nyctorans would deem it a boon to learn the spell.

It almost looked too easy yet fun. She smiled as her head tipped a bit. " He's graceful in battle. Would you mind if I sparred with him?"

Oh please go ahead", tobi said throwing a sword to her

He made quick work of the putters and signed, "I need more sword plays"

The blade was a swung a few times after she caught it. " What you need is a more challenging opponent" She jumped down and took a fighting stance before him. Already a sense of what she could learn filled her. Speed versus Defense? It felt like a promising challenge.

Shining you're only allowed to take your first form", tobi shouted at him

Fine. ", he said transforming to his first form. His Hirt horns were visible and the blood that tickled down were more. He wiped some off his eyes, " ok. Let's do this", he said taking a stance

Never one to attack first, wise yet what if he were to run into another who thought the same? She spun the sword before lunging forward to attack.

He dodged the attack moving to the right

Tobi face palmed herself, "of course he did"

Used to others dodging, the blade was quickly to swung to the side as she circled round him. Aware that he watched his back, she used a feint attack.

He blocked the stroke when it was too close then jumped away from it

Stop trying not to get hurt", tobi said

Shut up. It's hurts", he replied to tobi then got back in his stance. With a quick breath he lunged himself forward at her

Her words gave Kuroi an interesting idea. The blade was allowed to sink in and she pulled him closer. " Sometimes it takes a little pain to get a good hit" She struck his shoulder with the sword before shoving him back.

The ember blossom she had tucked in her cheek was chewed before she inhaled. Its fire seared the wound shut. Exhaling released a blast of fire at him. When the flames cleared, she was gone but a few mana waves rushed at him from three different directions.

Oh come", he said dodging the strikes then turned to the point where the strike didn't come from and sent one there

A few trees fell to the attack but a silver slash ran across his other shoulder. " Good guess but wrong" She chuckled from behind. Planning for him to retaliate, she dropped to strike at his ankles.

Oh he's been hurt twice", tobi said grining, "now how does that feel. Powerless?"

A wave of mana erupted from him blowing everything around him away, "shut up tobi", he said putting the sword behind him

The blast knocked her into a tree. Sword impaled ground before she dropped behind it. Powerless...powerful, a fascinating contradiction that stirred in her mind.

She rested on the sword and watched him. The pain he held, it felt more complex...directed in multiple directions perhaps? It was strange how his attacks mellowed when she jumped in yet she knew why. Would it be better if she didn't train with him? No, it was an opportunity in so many ways. She knew what she wanted from him and would hopefully please them all by the end.

A charming smirk showed as the blade was pulled from the ground and cleaned. " Twice, three times, twenty perhaps? Where's your fire?" She taunted while pointing the blade at him. A mischievous gaze was sent along its edge yet filled with something...softer. " You won't take the top like that"




The castle was quieter with most of the Valra out exploring. Inei had stayed behind to continue the boys training but it was due to training that the Valra left. Pavol had said something which put everyone on edge.

Yuuma, on the other hand, was painting something from a dream on his floor, blissfully unaware of the other danger. The image looked as though it would take days or weeks to finish. More so with his goal of growing the most adorable plants and locating the cutest beasts.

He got the sword back in a normal position, "sorry for being weak", he said then lunged at her again. This time mana chains appeared around him and took forth at her from all sides

His words cut deep. What could be eating at his soul so badly? "I know you're not weak. Now, make me submit...take what's yours" She thought to herself. The chains showed that power but she needed him to prove it to himself...without the traps.

The emotional energy was channeled into the blade as an attempt to cut through the top. She would find out how deep his pain ran as she lept up. It left her exposed to his attack but should his determination to keep her be strong, she would still be bound. If a great concern to lose her to anyone or anything crippled him, she would cut free.
